Civil Services Mains 2020 Results: In or Out ? Way ahead, gratitude and Pain

Was watching cricket videos and I realised one thing, Sachin Tendulkar is one batsman who almost every time decided to walk out if he had edged one, even if the umpire was not convinced. Was it selfish of him, not to give  consideration to the situation his team was in? Almost single time, he walked out on his own. I think that's what it takes, admit it and move on. After 3 attempts and 2 mains, this is what I find solace in. We know the rules of the game that we are playing. History optional bahut pain deta hai❤️

Back on this thread after a while. In these times of uncertainty, it's good to see a few familiar names. Life has been hard these last 3 years, and now what I look around and find myself unable to do any good. Preparing for UPSC today almost feels like you're abusing a privilege. People today are struggling to find food, oxygen, life and here I am worrying about my optional, about prelims date. A couple of months ago I accepted my 2nd failure in mains, telling myself this is the path you chose. You knew the costs. But somehow today, this is not enough. Always found this platform and anonymity useful to find solace in dark times, feels good to be heard

* on a positive note- Hope all of you and your families are safe and sound. I'm sure some of us have had a terrible time, and I hope we stay strong and emerge stronger from this

Allfather UPSC will speak only when he's sure he won't have to speak again. That means, they're going to delay any decision till they're absolutely sure they cannot conduct the exam. And yes that's concerning for all of us, but frankly UPSC is only bothered about the ones who make into the final list, rest of all us are just roll numbers.expect a decision by May end at the earliest.

Also got to know from a *fellow aspirant's source* that last week there were questions asked in UPSC office about whether there's any precedence for conducting next exam cycle before concluding the previous cycle- the answer was no, this is unprecedented. Now this at best is an open ended insider information- didn't come with any conclusion

@Patootie it's appealing for those who've just begun. For those who've actually been in the haul for as long as the series shows, the struggle loses a bit of its charm. Categorically decided not to watch it until I can feel positively nostalgic about my journey ✊

Whats also possible is that there may be a postponement but only of a few weeks by Realigning the whole calendar. So like maybe interviews and pre in July itself. UPSC definitely won't want to drag on like last year I feel

I'm sensing if prelims is not postponed, a lot of us (including myself) will be fooked, as in Jamie fookin Lannister

Is there any initiative where we can see the answers of toppers( recent years) to actual UPSC mains papers. I know it's hard to recollect and probably asking too much but that would be the best way to see what gets rewarded in mains. I haven't had any interaction with toppers so I personally feel that's a disadvantage when it comes to mains.

(Not talking about institute samples coz

1. Doubt about authenticity

2. Mock tests I feel are not exactly as analytical as the ones we face in the hall)

Also in toppers talk they mostly talk about their preparation and yes thats good to hear also, but what exactly they put in their answers is what makes all the difference.

2019 mains- missed out on 130 marks of questions in GS 123

This time (2020) completed all questions- still not there in the list. Help me out✊

@Neyawn - any hack or jugaad for this?
