@HotBloodPrince

Have you read mrunal handout before or just doing revision ? Its  600 pages, how to complete that for pre in that short period of time ?

Hi.

I had seen all lectures in Feb and read pillar 1 2 3 at that time. Had some memory of lectures but mostly it felt completely new for pillar 4 5 6.

But yeah had no choice. So it had to be done.

P.s. big as long as it is not done. Once it is done it's just good memories. 😊😊

@Raillife  passive study can be done.......... Once every thing is done/ you have completed economy & its CA part from any source, you  can go for selective reading directly from handout. you can turn the pages in a day.......

even i have planned similarly if economy gave a nightmare........ lets see :)

true par 1 base source hona chaie

maine last year mrunal kara tha but ab samaj nhi arrha kya karu

YES............if not it can endanger minimum 25 questions...........

Any basic source from where you are reading.........(do it minimum) then switch to questions directly.

if you solve 500 economy questions & revise i can tell you nothing will be left...............

@TwoFace dear Hydra u r crrct smtimes i feel these current booklets just add burden and people in rat race r forced 2 cover thm mindlessly!

Yes..... Just putting the burden. CA is a thing u can't study in isolation. You have to relate with it to remember...... Many times one need to follow up that concept to plug all the loops...... It's tedious. We tend to forget the boundry, where a full stop is required.....

Here only these compilations comes in picture. They tell us to stop but in return concept building and small things we tend to ignore..... And the fact is mostly Simple things are asked...... In actual ppr.....

We then regret that I have read this but that small thing I missed and that was the question.......useless!!

I have an intuition that UPSC takes some popular CA material from market..... And frames questions to bypass them......

@iskool last para of your comment is confusing can you explain..did you mean that upsc dont ask from any of the magazines they simply ask from something orginal like pib prs newspapers

Ignore boss..... It's my personal opinion. Not possible to conclude logically.

Struggling with two exams (pcs mains in last week September). Royally messed up everything in last 3 (6/ 9/ 12 ??) months. I am no where in syllabus completion, practice, confidence. As if I have hit rock bottom. Feels like drowning most of the time.

Have reasoned with myself. Why be a burden on your own self, why pull your own self down.

Now is the time to take back control. Putting up a fight in last month. Maybe everything will turn out good. No more SWOT, asset- risk analysis of past present future. Irrational optimism from now.

@iskool I have also been struggling with these. There are multiple sources from where you can read, banking websites have a huge list but for those in news, I am refering to Rau's Prelims Compass List and Vision PT365 List. Attaching just the image below, it is from their Science and Tech booklet.

Cant afford to waste time in searching my last post so......

1. Last 2 days raw target : complete s&t : DONE

- just the matching of the index is left. left it willingly. I want to try past year papers first then will match them.

PS: it took two days but ended all nightmares i was getting out of s&t. Relieved :)

from today onwards, I am moving from daily target to deadly targets:-

7-8 : sfg test -s & t

8-10:30 : BF+CURRENT crash

10:30 to 8 : POLITY day 1 >>SFG TEST 1&2 REVISION>>STUDY>>PAST YEAR PAPERS>>PRACTICE

8 TO 10 : FLT SIMULATOR 1

P.S: Asli kaam to kal hoga jab existing routine mein environment ka tadka lagege........ #more_deadly #iamon

OFF TOPIC :-

"IAS BABA has become a big name in this prep specially prelims may be through their 60 days program."
If i assume the above statement true....... then  PRELIMS Rapid Revision Series (RRS) - 500 HIGH PROBABLE TOPICS for UPSC PRELIMS 2020 that has been launched by them has an average viewership of 14k+ daily.......

based on the above data can I conclude that these ppl are the only competition we are going to face at the prelims (approx) stage ???  at max 18k ?? just trying to understand the competition..........

@iskool I am not watching it. Is it worth it?

hey guys, Some wise words plzzzz

I have completely relied on the SFG tests(full) + Simulator(1-8) + Vajiram FLT (As much as I can do) + Some tests of IASBABA

Completely ignored:- VISION mocks/abhyas/any other.

What say? ok!

@iskool Its k man tests r intended 2 chck 1s progress not amass knowledge lest whole wrld of all coaching mocks cant help!!

Bhai dont know why I hate vision mocks..... and find VAJIRAM best much better than simulators as well. Simulator i am doing for coverage and has some affinity to forumias. :)

Thank you so much!! I could only find the daily The Hindu news analysis videos on their YouTube though - are there separate topic-based ones?

List of Articles - DNS, May 2019- Aug 2020.pdf

DNS LINK January 2018 to May 2019.pdf

Right, so this is the index of all the articles that have been discussed from Jan 2018 onwards till Prelims 2020. I think this is possibly one of the most comprehensive indices of all relevant current affairs issues, simply because it comes from the average newspaper. They've included links to all their videos as well, article-wise. PDF links to their daily notes are also available on Youtube. The notes are usually of a good quality, but I don't recommend reading all of it, simply because the point behind this is maximising efficiency, and making best use of time. However, where necessary, snippets from the PDFs can be added on to your notes.

You'll need to do a bit of digging from within the index (as in, if you want to holistically do issues about River Ganga, Ctrl+F "Ganga") and identify the topics you would choose to do. You would also need to be proactive in adding points not discussed to add value to your answer. But I think, if one can do that, and effectively prepare the important ones, preparation would be more holistic rather than doing them straight from a Mains 365.

Pro-tips:Watch the videos at 1.5-2.0 x speed depending on necessity. Go from October, 2020 backwards.

Long live the KING !
