Doubt Clearance Thread: UPSC 2021

Which of the following limit(s) the Sovereignty of the Indian Parliament?

1. Written nature of the Constitution

2. Federal system of government

3. System of judicial review

4. Directive Principles of State Policy

Select the correct answer using the code given below.

(a) 1, 2 and 3 only

(b) 2 and 4 only

(c) 3 only

(d) 1, 2, 3 and 4

The answer given is A  --Reason for exclusion of DPSP isNon-justiciable  and hence doesn't limit sovereignty of Parliament.

But DPSP are also used as reference by court for constitutional validity of law. Also DPSP are the ideals which parliament should keep in mind while formulating laws. Then in my opinion it is limiting the sovereignty of parliament.

Pls explain what is the logic behind this ?

In 1st case, Y runs 960 and give 24 I.e(64-40) to z.

Thus 960 me 24, then 1000 me kitna =

(24/960) *1000 = 25 m

For space, I feel UPSC is not focusing on 'smaller' missions like going to Mars and Moon. It's going for more 'exotic' missions like e-LISA which is a Gravitational wave observatory just like LIGO which was asked couple of years ago. So, that maybe narrows down a little bit.

Yes, please add more. Last year peoples posted imp topic in S&T. Kaafi sahi tha wo.

What is the difference b/w antrix and NSIL?

Both of them are commercial arm of isro. Main difference lies in type of commerce they do. Antrix deal with Supply side commerce while Nsil deals with Demand side. Hence when some need satellites or service or anything which Isro already possess, it will be dealt by Antrix( remember supply side). But when some need any new technology or something which Isro donot have currently but will work to acheive that, will be dealt by Nsil (demand side).
