On a detailed analysis of the paper, you will find that there were 25 difficult level questions whereas the rest were easy to moderate. Further 15-20 questions could easily be handled by the elimination technique meaning could be handled by identifying one definitely wrong statement.

So by and large paper was designed in a way that the most appropriate range shall be 80-140 marks in which the majority of candidates would score. The candidates scoring above 140 are really prepared well and need to keep their nerves in control on D day. Whereas candidates scoring between the 100-140 approx need to work on consolidation of Knowledge.

For those scoring below 70-100. Guys believe me you are still in the game. However, you need to work on your elimination technique thoroughly.

Solving UPSC paper is an art of elimination. The more you master it the more marks you will score. The knowledge base of candidates scoring 70-90 marks is by and large the same as those scoring between 120-140 marks. However, the 40 marks of difference is because of elimination techniques or the art of solving the paper that has been inculcated by those scoring high. It gives them the straight advantage of 10-15 questions.

So guys please don't embark upon studying something new. Still, 15 days are there. Work on revision as much as you can (don't miss on easy questions. It will hurt the most.) while trying to inculcate the elimination techniques.

Ultimately the paper of UPSC is a whole together different ball game. Knowledge is a prerequisite but excelling it requires controlling your nerve, a strategy, and a command on elimination techniques. So all of you guys have enough knowledge with you since you are scoring 70 plus marks and are attempting at least 70 - 100 questions with dedication. I request you all to keep faith in years of your own preparation.  Don't lose your confidence now and obviously rectify ur mistakes.

Still, 15 more days to go. Still 150 hours of preparation to go. And still, 9000 minutes to go. So use your time wisely and give it a dash like never before. Miss now and a bare minimum of 2 more years of suffering. So work hard and all d best to you all.

Going by discussion, it seems paper was easy quite contrary to what i felt. Anyone here to second me on that? I scored about same marks which i used to score in Vision full length and Abhyaas. Had no idea about many questions, elimination was easy though. Is my preparation skewed?

@root

Can you upload the question paper on my academy portal? I want to take printout of the QP and solve it physically along with OMR sheet.

Also, I have read the instruction that PDF won’t be provided due to risk of misuse but can’t there be some exception? I mean I won’t misuse it  or share it with anyone else.

I am saying all this because I have read somewhere as ForumIAS stating to register for their open test in order to give thelastandbestmock test. Physical question paper will enable me to give the test inbestpossible way. :D

@Jack__Sparrow Can't find any option to check the results? I took it after my designated slot.

Thanks forum, can see marks now.

Saw my marks(112) and with the discussion about paper being very easy and people scoring above 140 has got me anxious. I know I need not stress on the upper limit but looks like  should have performed better and in the upsc paper this won't suffice. I myself did find exam moderate. Just weird marks pattern in mocks making me confused, vision FLTs, abhyas, and simulators. Major ups and down in marks, big range of marks. Would have to analyse with detailed solution.

I got 85 marks. Do I have any chance of making it to prelims?

Should I solve all previous year questions now or revise test series papers?
