@AureliusM Don't know about this but IFS is one of the 3 AIS (apart from IAS, IPS). No one would generally choose any service apart from IAS, IPS, Foreign Service or to some extent IRS over IFS. Even IRS vs IFS is tilted in favour of IFS for many (especially if one gets a good cadre). Further, IFS is a very powerful service in some cadres like MP, Chhatisgarh etc.
