MGP for a Newbee!

What abt the timeline/schedule of tests mentioned in brouchure? how to proceed? I don't have any mains specific notes, just went through the syllabus during final semester. Now dived in the race, my first course/testseries for mains is MGP. Anyone experienced,please guide!
