Does this mean exclusion of some ews guys in already prepared list to include newer ones after the verdict??

What if I make a representation to UPSC as the date now is extended to 16th August.

@YashmishraBig lawyers are fighting pro bono for EWS. HC is their turf if I'm allowed to say so. This is one aspect we can't rule out as unimportant.
UPSC are much worried to finish up the process as soon as they can. Once the result is declared, the matter will stand infructuous. This is what appears from the stand counsel for UPSC has taken in the case.

@AzadHindFauzmay be you are right but just for the sake of declaring the result upsc might not allow this and appeal to high court to get what they want.

With Cutoff date as 16 Aug for EWS, more people will approach UPSC to consider them as EWS who couldn't avail EWS in First instance.

Might have cleared Prelims as UR and below UR cutoff and above EWS cutoff in Mains would get benefit.

Lets c how it unfolds.

@STI think to counter this and prevent further delays , upsc would be very swift in releasing the results , so i think so in some hours results will be out...

@VishwanathNo bhai. 10-12 candidates who have gotten the relief, even if all of them qualify won't affect the cut-off in major way. Law of averages. But, let's wait for the written order to get any clarification on whether representations have been allowed for those who didn't approach the court.
