As for ur question, there is something called Doxxing. Nowadays Social Media Sites can block ur handle if u put out someone's info out like his Mobile No. Address or Email I'd.
Just that. Legal action can be taken only if someone used illegal means to get that info.

He was just negligent. And if he wants to remain somewhat anonymous to People who didn't put it together, he should.
