@Bubba_gumphan gk type questions aate hain. But ab bht better hogya h, previous years pprs were horrible. Ab they r trying to be upsc-like. Some improvement favouring us.

Hi.. thoda mainstream discussion se alag hai mera post..I need help in planning my studies. I have been preparing for 3 years now, and haven't been able to clear prelims ever. I get good-decent marks in prelims test series(i did vision twice, n this time Insights). I dont perform well in the exam. This time i solved many questions well n do stupidity in few questions n missed cutoff by slim margin.
Can someone tell me how do I improve?Where am I going wrong? I dont remember exact tribal movement in history type things accurately all the year-prepare those up before exam, but am pretty much good in other stuff. Conceptual-ncerts etc. I prepare cuurent from visionias monthlies.
Haven't practiced Answer writing much. Had always been considered intelligent as student and employee(ex), with good analytical skills. And now I am screwing up my life..
How to improve?? Plz help

Civil services is a good job, worth working for. It has the 'potential' to take u on a wonderful 'self actualisation' journey. But at the end of the day, it is 'only' a job. Many quit services before becoming secretaries. When it comes to becoming secretaries, it is best of the best among fellow IAS officers, hell lot of politics goes into it(like in any top job in any profession- anywhere, only here stakes are higher )
Plus who knows who'll live till 60 !
So enjoy working for something you cherish. Most people above 27 are so burdened with family pressure(to marry, have kids like other realtives and well wishers) that they can't pursue this bold path. ButYOU CAN! So use it well!
