Yaar ek Q's that GS 1 me -
British imperial policy and delay in giving power ?
Isme India perspective likhna tha ki broad picture Lena tha(middle East, Africa, Asia etc).
Q's me specifically India mention nhi tha shayad ?

@pysh12950
Yes I also thought the same. But main focus was on India.
I wrote about Atlantic charter 1941(self government for colonies) and how Britain interpreted it for her interest by assuming the charter meant German colonies which was later on clarified by Roosevelt that it meant all colonies.
Baaki British how denied transfer of power by neglecting Arab Nationalism and creation of Israel. Iske baad thoda Africa Likha.
Then talked of August offer,Cripps,Wavell,Cabinet,Plan Balkan etc etc...

@TeddyWestsideI agree, but Bhai Q's was open to interpretation. From my past experience, I believe there is no harm in different interpretations but you have to stick to the main demand of Q's i.e, British imperial power complicated transfer etc. The syllabus of GS1 includes Indian + World History. However in 1940s, India was at the centre of Britain transfer of power.

Same is applicable to different interpretations wrt Service sector Q's in GS2

Wrote IPR section 3(evergreening) + Compulsory licensing and SC verdict(Novartis/Glevac case).
Data exclusivity only for 4 years.
Traditional knowledge library.
New IPR policy and concept of Utility patents
Ratifying CBD
Protecting plant varieties some of which may be used for drug mfg(eg. Himayalan yew)
Generic medeicine promotion and strict regulation on biopiracy.

Wrote on these lines...

@sat_009brother, I was sure of traditional knowledge library, CBD(2002),Patent act/licensing Biopiracy/prospecting in that question. But that was not suffice for 15marks I guess. So I used all related stuffs to fill the pages. Don't know if it will work or not, but I personally believe better to write than leave blank.

@sat_009even if i get average in this Q's, I would be happy.

1.7k views

@sat_009exactly....But I believe if one completes the paper,he/she anyway is in advantage than one who attempts less(<18Qs) subject to some obvious exceptions.

@LonewolfStarted with India rank 177 in World risk report which reflects it's vulnerability. Then talked of 1.Physical/Geographical vulnerability- Indian plates movement 5cm/yr,12percent flood/landslide prone areas
2. Social- Drought/Famine eg of Malwa/Bundelkhand region.
3.Economic- Financial crunch to deal with disasters. UN report 2-3percent GDP loss annually due to disaster.
4.Physclological- Relief centres, counselling, trauma centre etc not available in majority of locations as per 2nd ARC.
Concluded with adopting NDMA guidelines and aligning with Sendai framework which will reduce vulnerability and help achieving SDG(9,11)

PS- Wrote on these lines roughly. Some ommission may be there.

Wrote on these lines-

  1. Pvt member bill- First 17 years, 19bills became act, but in 16th LS,900 bills passed with only 2 being discussed. Friday Syndrome (2.5hrs discussion for Pvt member bill)
  2. Anti-defection- Gave recent examples of Goa, Karnataka,
  3. Debates and discussion- Decline quoted some PRS data.
  4. Breach of privilege- throwing pepper, abusive language etc
  5. Criminalisation- ADR data- 35percnt MP elected had crinal background

PS- Don't abuse(unbecoming of Civil servants). Most of my GS2 answers were below average. This Qs, I know so could write avg answers. Overall, I felt this year GS2 was like- BHAI PUCHNA KYA CHA RHE HO?
