@Vika@Kira0705I think this term is best suited for the Essay paper tomorrow. Essay ko zyada didactic ya bookish rakhne ke bajaay natural rakh sakte hain. GS papers mein synthetic hi likhne honge answers.

@Kira0705Bhai I got decent marks in the Essay last year; wrote the philosophical essay on History like a class 10 student. Keep it simple, seems to work.

@Rand_Al_ThorI don't really know. I got 157, applying the same yardstick as a good optional score (145+), self certification?

@dancingminionI tried something in the tests which might help. How about attempting all the 15 markers first?

@K_9@LostStarted with how the first line of our class 4 History book started with the line "History is His Story, the story of Man". Gave examples of historical aspects inspiring current principles (Rig Vedic Sabha, Chola = PRI today, Ashoka = diplomacy), how we learn from mistakes (colonialism = WTO, Hiroshima = Disarmament). Just built upon points like these.

@ManchesterUnitedThat's it right? I've been wrecking my brains trying to think of a case dealing with distribution of legislative powers!

That's what I was thinking! Is there a similar case like the Delhi one where it's state vs centre?

@visionmanWhat if we quote this example in response to a relevant question in the Interviews? How will UPSC take it??

Isn't the whole point of having a Tribunal a way to ensure "speedy and efficient delivery of justice"? Aren't tribunals not supposed to be bound by rules of procedure but instead be "guided by the principles of natural justice"? Judicial apathy and delays were the reason tribunals were established. Why have they fallen prey to the same shortcomings they were designed to avoid?
