@RavsThe views you present seem regressive, ignorant and a step back to the old ages. The students are equal citizens, not subjects of governance. I would argue that student activism is not only desirable, but necessary for a truly functioning democracy. They represent the ever changing and evolving values of the times, and microcosm for the future of the country. Take examples of velvet revolution of 1989, tiananmen square protests, apartheid divestments of 1970s, they were all led by students. It is true that violence cannot be condoned in any manner and anything but peaceful protests would be counter intuitive. Yet the point remains, students must remain active citizens of this country, not passive subjects with no free thinking. And universities such as JNU fraternity have my respect for this very reason, they encourage independent views even if they're against the majority dispensation.
Dissent is all in democracy.
@RavsAnd on your defending of the fee hike in JNU, I think with some more research you'd find it's the most expensive central University in the country. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the bro marxian literature. A concept gaining ground is how the government of the day across the world over exercises compliance and quells student activism by increasing fee hikes. More student loans equals more time and effort spent in paying back the expensive tuition and less time devoted to free thinking and initiatives for the larger society. So yes, the money may seem peanuts to you, but for more than many students, it isn't.

@Ravspresumption of ignorance of all, and generalising can be very dangerous things. They've led to genocides and holocausts.
Everyone do their bit to change oneself and others in a positive manner. Maybe it starts with as simple as educating the ignorant opinions in family WhatsApp groups. And I'm sure there are many activists who are well aware of what they're fighting and why and they will proceed to educate the 'opportunists' within the protests.
@duster2019Honestly, why so much hate.
@duster2019I would love to enlighten, but seeing your language and usage of words such as 'throwing immigrants out' , the patronising 'beta', vision 365 reference makes me think it's futile to engage. Trying my best to not seem patronising, good luck.
@duster2019I don't possess any supreme knowledge. And you can stop proving my point.
