@bharathakkera-ips862seems quite good TBH. I believe alot depends on the examiner too. Hope for the best.
@Asli_hai_sabThanks for the update. Last I heard, the evaluators have staged a walkout in protest and are unlikely to indulge in any further evaluation. We are all f***ed.
@pmishra997125Damn, wasn't there a competitive bidding for the evaluation? Evaluators from Vision could've checked better.
@pmishra997125Shouldn't the Competition Commision of India be called for this instance of monopolistic behaviour by an established player? Double whammy for non-Vaziram aspirants.
I wonder why aren't people talking about the result date. Result for CSE'17 (mains) came in 68 days while that for CSE'17 in 74. So, by this history, the result should be declared somewhere between 7th-13th. The @postmains2019 group is (seems to be atleast Imo) quite confident that results should be declared on 13th.
@atuljisame question, here too. I too never scored above 90 in any of the tests I wrote, mostly hovered around 80-85.
Does anybody have any credible info regarding the result? I have already called UPSC twice since the morning and both the times the reply was "abhi koi information nahi hai, agle hafte pata chalega". While some 'insiders' on the telegram group are pretty confident of the result being declared within a day or two (contingent on a meeting to be held at UPSC).
@Ananya123no one seems to have a clue, albeit most of them have settled on next week as being most likely.
@Rand_Al_ThorIf I may add, the episodes themselves are quite engaging, although as you rightly pointed out, the main storyline has only 2-3 relevant episodes per season.
@kohliwaghow are you so sure? There seems to be a consensus on Telegram about next week being the result week.
@kohliwagThere's a new rumour/ unsubstantiated information doing the rounds on the telegram group that the result has been delayed and today is not the day. I was sincerely hoping for it to come out today, but it seems the guy is pretty sure of his source.
@Khamoshkrantikari@postmains2019
@Kira0705which group on tg?
@yummythanks! But it seems to be a private group and the chat isnt accessible to non-group members.
@TETRACYCLINEtelegram pe koi insider info nahi aa rahi kya?
@K_9kaun hain Imran Farid sir?
@Caesaromg, I too find myself way too absorbed either in UPSC stuff or my own wandering mind. I was never too outgoing to begin with, but after UPSC preparations, I think I have lost even the remaining semblance of socialization. How did you overcome your inhibitions/shyness?
@NalandaI agree, the 10 day guided Vipassana meditation course seems to be a must. I tried doing regular guided meditations last year by taking the subscription of an app called headspace. I think, I might have continued for about 5-6 months but didn't really find any tangible change in the wanderings of my kind. Albeit, I do agree that I wasn't very regular and at best, my max continuous streak was about 8-9 days. However, that being said, I do think that if someone does it regularly, it does help quite a bit in controlling this ongoing chatter in the mind.
@Kira0705Yes, which group? postmains2019 doesn't have any such info.
@TETRACYCLINEresult kab tak aa raha hai? TG ki maane toh Tuesday seems to be the D-Day.
@AzadHindFauzBro, any updates regarding the petitions and the final verdict? TG is betting on the result being out in the next 2 days.
@GodLOL, my post became redundant.
@CaesarNot necessarily, I'd say. Such incidents of accidentally downing civilian aircrafts have occured in the past too. Even in the context of US-Iran tensions, USA had downed an Iranian civilian aircraft which was enroute to Dubai in 1988 or 89 (not sure of the year) without any major repercussions.
@BehemothIndeed, I moved over to the Indian express an year back when I was seriously disgusted at the way the Hindu was covering the entire LS2019 elections. IMO, most of the English language newspapers have a distinct left bias (includes IE too), but some more than other (the Hindu). I was seriously frustrated with the kind of editorials/opinion pieces which were carried over by the Hindu. I found most of the editorials/opinions to be voicing only one particular side of an issue/topic to the point that I thought this couldn't be representative of objective and ethical journalism. Thankfully, IE (inspite of having that distinct left bias) tries to maintain its neutrality by giving space to both sides of an issue. Recent case in point being the CAA bill. However, as has been rightly pointed out by someone earlier in this forum, one needs to read the editorials and opinion pieces with some sort of an active filter where one needs to deliberately ignore the musings of few. Eg: Some of the recent editorials of Pratap Bhanu Mehta are borderline rants as opposed to being well argued pieces which he used to write earlier. And on a few matters, I do think right wing media outlets like Swarjyamag have had a much better record of putting the matter as it is infront of everyone.
PS: The Hindu's coverage of the entire Rafale saga was the proverbial last straw that made me give up entirely on the Hindu and its 'journalism'. The MMRCA deal was something which I had followed right since the deal's inception in 2008-9 and whatever the govt did (IMO) was to salvage some sort of a respectable walkaway for the GoI in its dealings with another sovereign nation.
@kochikaamewhat happened bro? Why last attempt?
@kochikaamei wish you the very best for all your future endeavours.
