@Yes_I_am_inno.. i did very bad in gs.. got only 330

for history optional, cram balyan handwritten class notes by heart. Read ncert very well. And use only one supplementary book for each part. And revise it again and again. Write only what is being asked. Structure, conclusion ki zyada tension mat lo.. focus on facts, sources/historians name, some crucial dates etc.
Map ke liye last 7 years paper from 2012/13 onwards ka ratta laga lo and famous neolithic/chalcolothic/megalithic /ashoka inscription etc ache se kar lo.. Yaad rakhna upsc hamesha famous sites puchta hai. for ex. haryana ki koi harappa site puchi to wo pakka bana wali ya rakhigarhi hogi. Baaki sites insignificant hai.. unpe time mat waste karna. You can secure 35/50 easily in map question.

@duster2019I am leaving upsc after this attempt..wrote mains this time too. if I get 300 plus then my strategy is foolproof I guess.. but my gs went very bad this time like last year so will miss mains cutoff my few marks like last year when I missed mains cutoff by less than 10 marks.

I have given bank po interviews last month. hopefully will get a job and will make a career in banking.

others those preparing full time, start giving other exams too. secure a backup job. UPSC is not everything.

@TeddyWestsideYes I did that last year. I bought self study history for that. It will also help in revising the stuff plus enriches your content.

@dancingminiontake a job. I recently got a bank po job. You can try banking/insurance/SSC jobs or try in private sector if possible. Sometimes having too much time to study goes against us as it gets confusing what to study and how much to study. When time is limited your brain will focus only on important things

First time main writers shouldn't get demotivated by answers people write here. Last year many candidates who were discussing their wonderful answers here couldnt clear the mains cutoff.
This post is not targeted to anybody but was a gentle reminder that upsc is unpredictable when it comes to marks.

I have hcs interview in this month and I fuckin hate psc interviews. I like bank interviews, they are short max 15 min and don't ask difficult questions.

I sometimes feel roman saini shouldn't have left ias. There are already so many coaching institutes;his idea of creating some sort of education revolution through unacademy was ill-conceived and something which was not required.
I just pray he gets satisfaction out of it.

After NRC 40 million illegal Muslim immigrants will be thrown out of India. I voted for BJP because I support this fully.
Next I want Population Control bill. Max 2 kids allowed. Third child will not be given voting rights. Moreover he or she will not be eligible for govt. jobs

Call me a Bhakt or bjp it cell member whatever. I have written 2 upsc mains and given 2 state psc interviews. So I really don't care

And I have full faith in this govt. I will vote for them in 2024,2029,2034 as well

@Hermione_Granger that's what CAB is for. Any persecuted non-Muslim will be given Indian citizenship. While bangladeshis Muslims who migrated to India illegally will be deported. That's what CAB-NRC is all about.

This entire exercise is nothing but social justice mentioned in our preamble. And Don't you remember how non Muslims were butchered like animals during 1971.Thousands of women were raped and kids were murdered. Never forget genocide!!

for bills, always refer to PRS or LS RS debates. I read Indian Express. But I skip editorials written by toxic and cynical people like pratap bhanu mehta, yogendra yadav, sagarika ghise, P chidambaram. They don't give any facts and write pure Mann ki baat

@LightYagamiany persecuted jew or atheist can always take refuge in India through existing laws. ex. dalai lama, adnan sami, were given citizenahip under existing laws. CAB is limited to just 3 countries. For other countries, existing laws are still valid. I don't think any Jews live in these 3 Islamic countries otherwose bill would have included them.
