@Rand_Al_Thorit was my first mains and I'm really apprehensive that I might have written both papers like a generalist
The essence of a geography student might not be visible to the examiner. What effect might it have on my score?
@Yes_I_am_intoo far fetched in my opinion. Although everyone would love that, including me..
@paranthapijjaseriously man, it's deplorable to see these people bashing that poor guy. Even if he was exaggerating or even lying, there's no proof, how can you so disgustingly insult him like this. It's unbecoming of future officers to indulge in such activities.
@Rand_Al_ThorBhai ko log sir sir kehte the yaar. I'm just seeing all this. I joined this forum after this mains itself so I didn't know about the earlier episode. It explains why you guys were furious over sat 9's disappearance. However, it doesn't change the fact that one must refrain from publicly ridiculing someone.
Bhai@sat_009i respect that you came back to fight the criticism spelt against you. The ills of social media are really a curse. There is a real requirement of anonymity here, character assassinations are becoming so commonplace. How can these people force you to reveal your identity?! Even if you are hundred percent genuine, it is still your right to choose to remain anonymous. I totally support you bro, be truthful to the word and keep enlightening us..
@kuttanot trying to be negative but seats are actually around 360. Within which pwd candidates will also take seats. So we’re actually left with around 330. And Upsc May still alter the number of seats in the final list like last time (784 to 758).
Each seat matters.
@Malcolmtotally man, I’m in the exact same situation. Don’t know what to expect. After reading the posts of the veterans post-mains I realise that my level is nowhere near these guys.
I even tried to study but to no avail. Feeling a bit disappointed with myself as well in that regard..
@zombielandI feel that after going through so many such events most of the people here have become hardened to these episodes. Crying doesn’t come naturally anymore. Probably bottled up feelings will one day burst for sure, not voluntarily though..
@TETRACYCLINErti ka zamaana hai bhai..
@SelinaKylewe all know that in this exam it’s next to impossible to predict one’s own success. Also, an unsuccessful candidate’s tips might be more useful than those of a successful one, but would hold no importance because they couldn’t clear due to some reason. Imo, at most one may predict their failure but not their success..
@NadigVinayin the case that ews side wins the case, Upsc will need to release extra seats for these candidates. As a corollary because it’s the interview stage, they might call for 2.5 times the number for these extra seats. It is a probability that this is the cause of the delay.
However as far as we know Upsc, they do not stop for anyone. They don’t even respect high court orders, only Supreme Court. So to believe even the above the scenario for the delay may be wrong.
@Hermione_Granger I’ve been reading the Hindu for about 4 years now. I think it’s enough time for an aspirant to have developed a leftist tendency, if not totally hardcore. However, for me this has not been the case. In fact if you ask my friends they might even say I’m anti-left.
The fact of the matter is that I was always aware of the bias Hindu has for the leftist ideology. So I tended to avoid reading such articles by staunch leftists. I think most Hindu readers here would vouch for this and they might even be doing this themselves.
The preparation demands you to view each and every viewpoint neutrally. But it’s totally understandable if a few aspirants entering service are leftists. To blame it totally on reading a newspaper is baseless. In fact people of all ideologies are equally entitled to be in service.
The personal political opinions held by officers should mean nothing as long as it remains in the personal domain.
