@kuttaYr Is it really so? Seeing your post, I see ray of hope. I was totally demotivated before.
Does everything boil down to paper culmination? Those who have completed all 20 questions, did they know right answers to all 20?
I could not attempt 25 marks In gs1, 25 in gs2, 25 in gs3, completed gs4 well. But I see that I even didn’t know answers to these 6 questions. So I had left them for last. But rest questions were attempted with quality. I assume even if I had attempted them, then would have got 1-1.5 marks each. Belong to EWS. Socio optional and essay were fine.
How should I interpret about my performance?
@pra7009055All the 2200-2300 students who qualify mains, do all of them complete paper? I feel max 2 questions left per paper should be ok, if others answers are written with quality.
@vvvikas0078212Ok. But question like MS Swaminathan, vulnerability, isro plans, and many specific type questions. People may not know exact answer. What do u say?
@Scorpion888you guys are right I feel so. Something could be written for sure instead of leaving totally blank. Overall 15-20 marks could be gained. It was lack of practice from my side. Let’s see what happens.
@awesome_123commodity fetishism was given in NITIN Sangwan book. I didn’t attempt demonetisation group of questions. Interlinking I could write. We can talk on call or msg.
@Scorpion888now see u urself are example. And are there no people selected finally who left questions?
@hirockyrocks7101Haa bhai. I am new here. And Socio discussion may not be ok for all that’s why I asked him to msg or call.
@STBy quality, I mean that I could quote relevant figures, diagrams, reports. It was first time ever I had written any mains answer and that too directly in exam. I did not have time for practice before so banked mainly upon content building and quality. That was the reason of total unattempted 7-8 questions in gs+Socio.
I also feel GS3 was tough. Most might not know precise answers.
Hoping for some relief through ews for this margin. Also with large intake of 2.5k, there should be people who did average (ofcourse not screwed up badly in any paper). Rest depends on luck.
@vvvikas0078212Nhi. Just practised few stand-alone answers at home for gs and Socio. No full paper. But I studied thoroughly toppers answer copies. Replicated their good part in exam. Also learnt what mistakes are done which could be avoided.
@pra7009055Completed ethics paper with relevant examples directly at exam center.
@vvvikas0078212Went through vision test series all 32 tests.
@ChanakyaHope so yr. Let’s see if ews could also give some push this time.
@vvvikas0078212Bhai it was do or die situation. Had put all energy. And honestly, if you have content then translating into words can be done. I did not practise writing before but I read almost 100 answer copies before exam.
@sat_009Nhi bro. This time many people couldn’t get certificates on time. And also seeing in other exams, ews cutoffs are going too low. But on other hand, it is also true that ews are also general, so competitive people.
@vvvikas0078212Haa. Tried to represent as much easy to be interpretable as I could. Maps, stats percentages, govt reports arc Niti ayog, intro concln, underline, answering each part of question with proper analysis. Everything. Let’s see now
@vvvikas0078212700 for 220-230 ews interview calls.
10% of all mains qualified 2200-2300
@RavsNo question as such. It just gave me hangs on practice of how to deal with questions. Some questions like pds, food processing, USA, Myanmar etc were though linked to some extent from mains 365.
@UPSCiansyes same here. I want extra attempt?
