Guys. I have a question.
I was writing answers daily for sometime. Then, I realized that I did not know certain static stuff from Lakshmikant. I skipped answer writing for 3 days and found myself rusty when again started. Has this happened to any of you guys? Does this mean, we need to write answers daily till mains. We cannot skip at all?
@gandhiThanks for replying bro. Good to see others have the same problem.
@harsh12345That's a really good score bro! Even I certify it..
@dancingminionaadhe ghante me 3 15 marker. i try to write with less no. of words ~200-220. Let's see how it goes...
@STOkay. thanks..
@STI think, we can write outside the left margin. points etc.
@arcygenzyThat's what I was thinking. I have seen many toppers copies where they have written point number in the left margin.
@dancingminionI think you can write innovative subheadings..
We can be a little innovative in our subheadings. Instead of bland subheadings such as ‘Benefits of Nuclear Energy’ we can use “Nuclear Energy: Promise or Peril?’ Similarly, for the essay on Social Media, instead of writing ‘Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Media’, I wrote “Social Media: A Double Edged Sword”

@Kira0705life can be cruel sometimes..
@Kira0705said inMains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread:
I saw his copy. content wasn't much. he must have improved slightly in the last month or so..
@Kira0705gs3 looked direct and solvable. Par I think I lacked content. Ek do question me to mann ki baat likh ke aaya hun.
@Kira0705me too. Ek do questions to aise the jisme I was completely blank. Jaise carrying capacity ka second part.
@Champakmet a friend who has given mains 7 times (st). He said it was the simplest gs3 paper. Wonder if he was insulting me!
@STyeah he is already working. Gives exams to improve rank.
@K_9That's a great insight, if it's true.
@Vickoo_Matrewhen I first gave pre, I thought it was very easy. I was happy that I could solve some questions of upsc level, not knowing that I need to solve 65-70 such questions. I got 50 marks that year.
The more one is ignorant, the more blissful one is.
@failureAisa mat bolo yar. Aur please profile name badal do.
@RaillifeNo, I don't think it is that much mugging. For socio anthropology, you will become familiar with anthropologists' name, their work after repeated reading. For physical, one needs to put in slightly extra effort if one is not from medical/biology background. After a point, it becomes easy. You have full year's time. Don't mug up facts. Keep on reading repeatedly same stuff. You will be able to retain it.
khud ka to kuchh pata nahi aur itna funda de diya maine
@ChampakThis when you said it was very difficult. I still think it was on the easier side compared to how other optionals are faring. But I am no match to your experience. So your opinion has more weightage.
@RaillifeBhai do not completely follow my advice as even I don't know if it will work. That being said here are the sources
basic understanding: ember and ember
socio: vaid, braintree, majumdar and madan

value addition: joined l2a test series, internet, anthro blogs, news
