my mistake- i will do this, i will do that- i will collect examples from here, case studies from there, then did not do any of it adequately. Then after some time lost the battle in my mind even before it began - its ok i will collect best notes now and make them mains ready for 2022 attempt.

any history optional guys here? please make a grp or something to write answer or brainstorm. In optional paper i felt i am not doing anything different than gs history. I was just writing a generic gs level history answer and occasionally sprinkling some history keywords or 1-2 historian's name
what should i do? if i start prelims prep fully then i think after prelims my situation would be same as previous mains and i would be stuck in prelims-mains cycle without having relevant notes on mains topic along with value addition, and less answer writing practice. but if i concentrate on mains improvement i am afraid whether i would be able to clear prelims with adequate difference so that i am not in 2 minds after prelims. the uncertainty in prelims is a big confidence killer even if you have qualified it earlier
