@HouseTargaryen this time i think the scaling gets reversed: it will be higher for paper 2
@HouseTargaryen @tedmosby how are marks awarded for wrong questions question 5 e of paper 2 is incorrect, i had to spend 15 minutes figuring it out during the exam.
@HouseTargaryen dont remember the answers since i chose mostly questions with heavy calculations.
but left a 15 marker in paper 1 and a 15 marker did a calculation mistake
in paper 2 - left a 10 marker( 2 phase method) calculation mistake in complex analysis question, and in 2 other 10 markers
what about you, do you have any friends with mathematics optional( none for me) and how did they feel about the paper.
@HouseTargaryen in paper 1 left the question on sphere and did a mistake in finding out area enclosed, there i did a very big blunder took sin60 as 1/2 hence got incorrect answer.
was able to solve the linear ode question and projectile question did reverse engineering..
@HouseTargaryen 210*0.7 = 147 thats a good score in paper 1, i asked student who is next to me, he struggled in paper 1 and attempted only 190 marks, i think the scaling factor will be more than 0.7 considering the difficulty level compared to previous year papers.
you said mayur khandelwal committed mistakes and got 170, what were his correct attempts?
@tedmosby @HouseTargaryen how were your other papers(GS and essay)??
@tedmosby all papers went well, but in Gs4 completed the paper but compromised on the quality.
Did you count question 5e of paper 2 while calculating your correct attempts.
IMS corrected the question and provided the answer, successclap solutions also mentioned that it was a wrong question.
@HouseTargaryen said for wrong questions full marks are awarded
your conservative estimate is ~263 add 7 marks 270 is not a bad score, if you get good marks in gs and essay
