@CARVAKA I had a similar experience in my second attempt. Had improved a lot in GS and had a plethora of data, facts and examples on EVERY topic that the syllabus could espouse, from environment to society. However, although my rank and score improved, my marks in GS actually declined, which I was absolutely not expecting. It might happen that UPSC really wants you to be generic than very specific and detailed in these papers.Food for thought.
