Mains preparation as working aspirant. Suggestions, strategies, words of wisdom etc.

Hi all,

I have given 3 attempts earlier, managed to go till interview once (in 2018). Failure in 3rd mains, covid related uncertainties and family compulsions had forced me to take up job (which consumes 10-12 hrs of my day barring weekends)  and continue preparation along side.

Now that there is less time between pre & mains , I am seeking out suggestions from experienced people on how to manage time in this phase. I hope there are some people in similar situation and this thread can help them too.

Less Time to devote full focus, Deduction of Motivation as well as Diversion of Motivation are some of the issues I have gone through. Peer based learning will be really helpful, if we find the right persons to go along with.

CSE mains 2024 Preparation

Hi everyone! This will be my first mains if I manage to clear prelims this time. For that, I am planning to enroll in the forum's MGP. Obviously, this would require me to shift to Delhi, leaving my comfort zone behind. I have a lot of questions and dilemmas. If any senior player could help... ?

1. How should I start my GS preparation at this moment before joining any test series? I have already begun consolidating notes for the optional part.

2. Do I have enough time to adjust to a new environment? I am seriously conflicted about this. However, I prefer writing offline tests to avoid distractions and assess myself better. I don't want to regret it later.

What should I do?
