How to un-mess messed up optional preparation for Mains ?

Mains 2019 was a horror for me due to my optionals which happened to be the dreaded electrical engineering. Took me a month to come to terms to it. How do I proceed from now? Already wasted a month. Have started with anthropology optional. But just haven't got in the groove.
