There is no clarity about current affairs period to be covered under test. It says past week. It would be better if period is mentioned i.e. from 15 th June to 30th  June.

Hi @Impavid_Girl @Patrick_jane need a bit advise.i am a working professional and also in essential services.I am getting marks in SFG test in range of 65-75,  but in case of current affairs , I am Bit confused. Reason is , I have covered my current affairs till May by dipon sir classes which is not month wise but topic wise. For rest of part he will resume classes at the end of August. Till then if I go as per SFG plan, I will have to read CA from monthly magazines(vision, factly whichever) which is time consuming considering 5 to 6 hrs if reading first time. Also, when CA classes will resume then I will refer to dipon sir notes only. So, what will be use of time if I am devoting in monthly magazine for SFG tests? Memory will be stronger only if we revise the same thing/page over and over and picture of that page gets imprinted on mind. In case of laxmikant, spectrum, sankar ias environment etc. I get to revise same pages, so makes good memory. How can I replicate it in case of current affairs? I feel, I am doing repetitive, overlapping jobs.please guide me.

@giri_jiten6786 hey, i did not join Sir's class so i do not know structure of the content as in how is he covering CA for u people.

As you say, he has covered CA till May topic wise so i would suggest you to go through daily prelims CA quiz from 2-3 websites to consolidate what he has taught a day prior to our SFG test  i think it will consume less time, will not be monotonous plus you will do prelims focussed CA.

For months or topics he is yet to cover i think you can cover CA from a source for SFG and his classes might act as revision. Both ways its going to help u.

And regarding revision thing, i differ from your views. In CA, topic matters more than source. You read the same topic from 10 places, you will hardly gain any value addition. The basic/context would be the same, in every class magazine or notes.

Its just my opinion, it may not be practical given you are a working proffessional too. But atleast this can give you some idea to workout your plan.

Thanks for the the reply. Btw I understood the time constraint I have. So, I have even prepared micro notes for polity and spectrum which are immensely helpful. In my opinion, in pre catch is always about forgetting minor but important thing like only, 1st time, etc and these minor things are picked by upsc to make very tiny changes i.e. whole sentence is right just changed the president with parliament.... These minor changes are hard to identify if we don't by heart the same lines... Similarly in current affairs minor changes are asked in questions. Topic wise preparation is good for mains which provides diversity in our answer. A wise mentor once told me if you can't revise the matter you are reading pls don't read it in first@Patrick_jane  what u suggest?

yar koi ye doubt clear krdo . mujhe to lgta tha arabian sea branch  s jada rainfall hota h

@Aalsibalak  Most part of monsoon enter through bay of Bengal not through Arabian reason is :

1. Western ghat is almost continuous mountain series having only 3 to 4 opening through which only little part of Arbian branch enters.most of rainfall happens windward side of Western ghat. That's why it has tropical ever green forest, Most of peninsular rivers originates from here and drain to BOB . It's leeward side receive low rainfall that's way It has dry deciduous forest.

2. On the contrary, eastern ghat is very discontinuous. So Bob branch enter India through 2 ways. Partly enter through eastern ghat and partly through NE route ( First getting diverted from Arkan mountains of Myanmar and then funneling effect of NE hills ). These both merge over northern plains. Hence BoB brings the monsoon to all over India mostly.

Hope it clears the doubt.
