[Official] ForumIAS SFG 2021 - Level 1 Details and Important Updates

On the contrary, don't you think 5-10 questions in a daily sfg test will give us sufficient practice and improve the confidence level?

- write tests regularly (as per schedule)
- evaluate performance daily
- improve

Also, you can get in touch with ForumIAS for mentorship as well. Ayush sir is very approachable (you can write to them via emails). SFG is a brilliant platform if used correctly.

All the best.

Any initiative to discuss test doubts? Maybe a 3hr live chat with a faculty every week. SFG 1.0 had this system after every five tests. Non-addressal of genuine doubts for conflicting questions makes the preparation very incomplete.

Please address this issue

@K_H_Abhishek After all discussion here, We asked the faculty to take classes with the purpose of value addition, which we think is being done currently. Is there a scope of doubt removal classes after the 3 hour videos on each test? Just want to clarify.

Because faulty may not be happy taking additional classes on the same things he has already discussed in the class. Doubt session must have queries that went unresolved in the discussion classes. So we will need that clarification from the students end.

Hi@forumiasacademy

Thank you for your prompt response.

I watched the first video to address my doubts about the test, and it did not. For example: Test 1 -Q22: FC can be argued to uphold fiscal federalism too;Q43: states actually do not have power 'to amend' the constitution. The 50% ratification rule is to get their consent, and the consent is not amendment, and so on.

There were some such doubts (maybe 5% of the questions or less, every test) that needed some clarification. But I totally understand your point. If more people here think such a doubt clearance session is necessary, you may consider this. Else, I'm ok to look for other ways to clarify my doubts.

Hi@forumiasacademy @Neyawn

Please ask faculty to address these below conflicting points in the video (if not shot already)

Q13: CCoPA is now headed by M o Defence, not MHA

Q25: Option d is also possible

Q27: Governor can reserve ANY bill right? irrespective of being a central list or state list item; Also, where is such a list of constitutional discretions w.r.t bills given?

Q30: SC in BP Singhal case said Governor is not agent or employee of CG; Option 2 cannot be true

Q37: aid and advice of TAC?

Q50: In case of Art.163 conflict between G and State Govt w.r.t Advice, as G need not listen to the advice, how is it resolved?

Thank you.

@Shoyo_Hinata you are correct

@Steph_Curry you are correct.

if we want to buy products from outside the country, we need to spend dollars; if we sell our products outside, we earn dollars.

So, more the import, more the need for dollars against our rupee. this leads to rupee value going up as the demand for dollars has increased (depreciation or weakening).

Similarly, more the export, more accumulation of dollars, leading to rupee value coming down as the supply of dollars has increased (appreciation or strengthening)
