@Purplesunbird I did not intend to suggest that one should attempt less. The more you attempt the better it is. But if you are attempting for the sake of attempting thinking that filling 2 pages will get you at least 2-3 out of 10 then I don't think it works that way. Maybe 1 or 0 for irrelevant stuff.
Kaafi h 1 :p
Hi guys! my throat is acting up a little, hopefully it’s just because of the weather and early morning routines but in worst case scenario, what happens if someone gets Covid? Are there any separate arrangements?🤞🤞🤞🤞
New ICMR guidelines say not to get tested unless you have some prior medical conditions or your condition is severe. They are treating it as normal flu. Seems, no one cares about it now. Why should you? :p
@D503 exactly hegels dialectical materialism being philosophical basis of marx but marx being inspired by faeurbach for historical materialism and unlike hegel who believes consciousness being basic of all historical change and force for all social institutions, marx believed its your existence which determines your consciousness i.e. material conditions of life determine historical change which is driven by mode of economic production all that is good. but if we learn real is ................ by hegel such in depth study of hegel is unnecessary and even counter-productive
Ok agli baar aapse hi puchke padhlenge. Mera to selection ruk gya fir mene Hegel padhlia :(
Everyone who wrote mains this time I would really like to know what worked for you guys this time in prelims?
Considering the kind of unexpected paper that it was this time, still people were able to get such good marks in prelims and able to clear it, I would really like to know what worked for you and what was your 'strategy' ?
If you scored greater than 90 then it's more of a performance problem, not a preparation problem. Have some faith in yourself, revise well practice mocks that's all I did. Everyone has their own strategies and everyone is correct. Just one golden rule is to complete your syllabus and don't leave anything to fate thinking it won't come in the exam as every single mark is important. I remember getting two medieval history questions right by watching a 2 hour-unacademy marathon video when I didn't feel like studying.
You never know what will come in the exam rely on the breadth of your knowledge. No need to read a given subject 10 times, it would be better to read two subjects 5 times as you have to identify the correct option trust your memory we often tend to underestimate it.
Thread kaafi shaant sa ho gya hai. I hope everyone is fine from any post-exam covid symptoms.
By the way, how are you guys spending time??

I am planning to complete 3-4 movies and tv series in the coming 1-2 days and then planning to return to studies/work. Taking a long break would create inertia at best.
Some People are saying that winning bilateral series is nothing in comparison to winning a trophy..
In the same breath some people compare this with upsc and say that scoring good in mocks is not good if you dont clear prelims..
Here is where the argument is flawed..
In our own UPSC journey we see veterans giving their sweat and blood to clear this exams.. some reach the semifinals(mains), some reach the finals(interview)... and we often see people not getting their name even once in the list..
And just like that their 6 attempts are over..
It does not mean that these candidates did not give their best or were arrogant or didnt deserve..
Sometimes it is just not meant to be..
I believe we Indians as a society are so fixated with WINNING that we never ever appreciate the process.. Today, we will curse Kohli for not making India win a single championship, but in this process we miss out so many things..
I really really feel sorry for people who think that Kohli has not let younger talents come up and flourish... Siraj is one of the biggest examples.. Two years ago you might have laughed at that guy, but today you realize his importance in the bowling unit...
A wise man once said, captaincy is not just about winning or losing a championship.. it is beyond what happens in the field for those 20/50/90 odd overs.... it is what you bring to the table in the dressing room.. in the nets.. and even beyond that..
Every captain had something or the other to contribute to Indian cricket team.. And I believe Kohli has played a decent enough part...
But do you think Siraj would have flourished had he not been in RCB :p
I am not a big fan of his captaincy but at the same time, I am not denying his achievements. But believe me when I say winning ICC trophies requires inspirational leadership which he was unable to provide. Just look at the way he abused youngsters like Ishaan kishan and suryakumar yadav in IPL games you will understand what I am saying. Aggression is good but there are other ways to show aggression. Kohli certainly had a better team with him than Dhoni. Proof- even Ajinkya Rahane was able to win the test series for India in Australia.
