People saying GS 1 was easy. I somehow did not find it to be easy. Some questions were very specific like population education, volcanoes in 2021, uniqueness of tribals etc. Wrote generic stuff which wont fetch marks. Ignored world geography so mineral oil and mountain chain question was also messed up. Maybe lot of people with Geography optional. Anyway, have to focus on the next papers.
@SnowLeopard Don't be surprised. It happens. I attempted 190 in GS1 last year (because didn't know much about Art and Culture and didn't write random things). My friend attempted 250. I had 85. He had 73.
@Purplesunbird I did not intend to suggest that one should attempt less. The more you attempt the better it is. But if you are attempting for the sake of attempting thinking that filling 2 pages will get you at least 2-3 out of 10 then I don't think it works that way. Maybe 1 or 0 for irrelevant stuff.
@MachineGunJoe I lost 8 kg for interview, gained back 6 in 3 months, by the time forest mains gets over I will probably be back to square 1.
@Capedcrusader1 While attempting all questions is always advisable, it is not a necessity. I mean leaving any question for want of time is unpardonable but leaving questions for which you have simply no idea is not a sin as such. I know people who have gotten top 50 ranks with 18/19 attempts in GS.
@Capedcrusader1 Let's just agree to disagree friend. I just have a different thought process on the issue. It has worked reasonably for me in 2 mains so far, I just hope it works out in 2021 as well.
@Truthseeker9 Please get in touch with me after 6th March. I think I can help you at least for the prelims (Have cleared Forest cutoff in all my 3 attempts uptil now).
@kartikeybhatt171778 1 board usually takes 6 candidates per session. Last year per day interviews varied between 55 to 72 on different days.
