I m getting a lot of negative feelings these days that I might have underperformed in the mains exam..
Whenever I read any topic now I am instantly reminded that I could have used these points in so and so answer..
I m getting more and more underconfident with each passing day...
Does anyone else also face such issues..
Or do they increasingly become more confident with the day of result getting closer..
It is natural...
Difficult to write all answers complete in all respects in the given time..
Don't worry.. same feeling is felt by the majority, whether they express it or not..
Last year my preparation was bare minimum.. didn't have any expectations.. wrote mains and forgot.. just saw the result n roll number was obviously not in the list..
The point is.. if you have performed well then being anxious is not unusual..
The term underperforming is highly subjective.. you might have written above average yet feeling bad because you feel you could have still done better..
Or you might have written 30-40 words in any answer and feeling bad about it.. only God knows the truth
i have heard from some people that result could be due this week. Is it true? any one has any updates, i have exited all the telegram groups so im woefully unaware.
The results will probably be delayed due to filing of case in the supreme court..
Many could not attend the mains exam or had to leave in between due to being tested covid positive..

Don't expect before march end..
SC may delay the result due to pending case..
The interests of those who missed the exam due to covid must be protected..
What was their mistake in this..
Think about those whose last attempt got affected adversely..
This is gross injustice.. mains should be conducted again for those who have solid evidence of covid positive and missed the exam.
I sincerely request you all to support the cause of the aspirants who couldn't attend mains due to covid..
Please support and if possible donate for the court case generously..

By the way how was your mains... There are very few who are so optimistic about their performance....
Well, I am just saying that court cases are futile..
Just compare .. around 10-15 candidates missed mains due to COVID . Actually only 3 have petitioned..
9000 candidates waiting for their results.. their career will be jeopardized due to such court cases..

GS 1 .. around 90-95
GS 2.. 105-110
GS 3.. around 100
GS 4.. 110-115
Optional.. around 270
I think I should get above these scores

Already scored 135, 141 in essay in earlier attempts..
258 in optional..
So please don't blame me for being overconfident..

I don't understand one thing..
People saying that I ruined my paper.. everyone gives sympathy to the person..
If someone says that I did well.. people will start labelling him/her ..
And I have not missed a single question..
If I knew some facts about the question.. I wrote it..
Have filled almost all pages in all the papers.. right from essay to optional.. and have not tried to bluff the examiner..
If saying what I did in the exam is a crime..then please label me as criminal..
DKT part 2..
Only difference... Last year he missed around 260 marks questions..
This year he has attempted all as per his claims..
However prepared one may be.. u cannot answer all questions particularly in the optional.. certain questions are deliberately made very difficult..
Atleast DKT part 2 is expecting around 800+.. not 850+ despite leaving so many questions in the last attempt..
May be genuine guy.. but I have my reservations
@EiChan Baap re, I read it right ? Leaving 60 marks blank in one GS paper itself ? And, getting 90 ?
In such cases.. the time saved from those 60 marks is distributed in writing better quality answers in others..
Difficult but possible..

2. Indian Phlio and tradition 15 marks
3. PALA period (10marker)

Those who attempted such questions would have hardly got 2-3 marks per question... Except circum Pacific zone.. that was doable though..
That explains the score I guess..

agreed. virtue is condemned bcoz it makes others feel lesser, victimhood is praised bcoz it makes others feel superior. proud of you for doing well. :D

From the discussion going on in Tele groups..
I could make out that many there were expecting above 800 this year..
Even 2 of my friends said that they did extremely well..
Not to demotivate others but I feel cut off will certainly rise this year ..
Please don't be obsessed with blue led..s400.. GDP.. population education.. who guidelines n all..
They are some difficult questions asked every year..
Either I m in the group of some really talented candidates this year or they are being over optimistic..
Whatever the case.. going by popular opinion..I predict cut off to go 750+ this year..
Competition is peaking folks..

I have interacted with around 20 mains candidates.. including few on this forum through chat..
Around 80% of them said that they have performed well and are expecting around 270+ in optional and 130+ in essay..
In GS .. Expectation of around 400 is common among candidates this year..
So point I m making is..
Many are expecting 800+ this year.. whether they get or not is altogether a different story..
Expectations are higher this year than previous.. this shows paper was easier this year atleast as per the perception of the candidates..
PS.. I m not exaggerating.. stated what I have observed..
