Does anybody has idea about how scaling works ?

I found this video insightful regarding scaling and moderation. However I cannot completely verify the authenticity.

Perception-reaction vale me kya likha h .Can anybody share ~

Started with Swami Vivekananda conference in usa where some group labelled him as uncivilized due to his dressing but swamiji came up with soft convincing why dressing is not the value to judge.

Gave perception of patriarchy and the different response of women such as one bog down another become one like sushma swaraj.

Similarly perception of British toward India and the subsequent response of Gandhi approach.

Also similar dimension of Ambedkar and caste system, India & Palestine approach.

Then talked about why perception matters and how we can change perception and the subsequent response. Concluded by way forward like value education, Compassionate perception, and the role of leadership in imbibing perception and response.

While writing conclusion, became deluded bcoz have to finish fast and thus not able to connect with main demand of topic.

Other one I wrote was Research is the blind date of knowledge wala. Which one you wrote in 2nd essay?

@zombieland this time gs 1 was easier or tougher as per u?

Paper GS1 appears to be easy..

But it is actually slightly on the tougher side..

I have geography optional but I really struggled to write the difference between impact of melting of arctic ice and Antarctic glaciers..

Measures by society to conserve values..

There were many such questions..

Opinions may vary..

True that. The Society questions were tough compared to last years. Also in previous years the geog questions were mainly Indian geography based but this time mainly world geography which is difficult for many. I don't know how people are saying Gs1 as easy.

@zombieland GS 4 was indeed lengthy. there were subsections in case studies. i took more than usual time in them. my way of answering is also different.
GS 3 is toughest because of surprisingly high number of unknown questions
GS2 i found tough, but not as tough as gs 3
i rate gs 1 below gs 2 because i could answer those questions of world geo by fulfilling demand, then again ill have to see the paper. but the shock value was very high in gs 1. questions of history seemed simple to me

rest anthro: my practise was less. only 4 mocks. im not a big fan of beautifying answers and fooling the examiner when i dont know the exact answer.
this has reflected in all papers of mine wherein i dont feel like writing 10-15 points in 15 marker and 7-8 points in 10 marker thus irritating the examiner. this however i did do in mocks where questions asked actually lead you to answer that. not saying that is bad but upsc isnt demanding that.
same for anthro. no need for structuring apart from IBC. the relevant points will be awarded.

In optional one can afford to leave questions if he has no idea. Also the time saved can be used in other questions and is also directly reflected in marks. But this is valid only for 1-2 questions.

Aapka Anthro paper 2 kaisa hua...what's your assessment as compared to last year. Leaving behind compulsory question(10marker), how do you see other questions.

@musk Mujhe bhi GS 1 tough laga.
Easy to bilkul bhi nahi laga
3 4 Questions easy hone se paper easy nahi ho jaata.
Geography and society ke questions tough the.

Haa yaar. Pehle geography mostly Indian geography based hote the. Ishbaar world geography jyada tha. Aur society me conventional questions jo aate the wo nhi the. Mast the but time laga mujhe kaafi likhne me.

Uniqueness of tribal knowledge and culture:

Civil engineering: Anda.an tribal making huts with ability to survive in tsunami

Health: Traditional medicines of herbs, belief in shamans, not aware of germ theory of disease, believe disease caused by bad deeds and I'll omens

Education system: Tribal schools/colleges where teenagers are taught life skills

Weaponry: Use of spears, arrows

Agriculture system: Primitive, organic manure

Ye aisa question tha jo saare anthro wale thoda smile kr k likhe honge. Bhut muskil se mauka milta hai hume aisa.
