Prelims 2019 PYQ elimination techniques

Has to be some things provided by an official. Area approach looks like an administrative mechanisms to deliver services.

3rd statement looks okay. 2nd too looks correct.

No idea about 1st.

@Omen This was more easily solved if you knew the amendment to Forest Act (part of current affairs in every magazine of that year). It allowed felling of bamboo in non-forest areas. 


IMO these are not the questions where should have to resort to elimination based on feel. In questions like these you should have a concrete-ish idea, at least for 1 or 2 statements. eg PVTGs you should know are 75 in number, this only leaves you with one option.
