@GOT8 did u file a representation for State definition?
@Guesswhoshere whistle weight is part of lid ,isn't it .it comes attached
both types of pressure cookers are there. But i guess the common standard ones do have removable whistle weights.
@Guesswhoshere some guy on some other platform was telling with confidence that this was a trap by UPSC :P i mean this question
It was. Trapped him. lol.
tumhare muh main ghee shakkar
State wala question me option A and B are verbatim of political theorists.
A is of Garner and B of Bluntschli
Ab i will tell u the problem
In Option A upsc has removed the line where garner says that there has to be ‘ Habitual obedience’ from citizens
in Option B upsc has added on its own ‘ natural rights ‘ and ‘ means of sustenance’
ab dekhlo kaunsa answer hoga
No.option a is given by garner but in option b first part is by blutschli and law and order, natural rights, means of sustenance were definitions of state given by other scholars.its in a nios lesson.
send the screenshots of this nios doc u are referring to
@bhuvanamalar1015412 used same reasoning and marked 3 only.counting it as wrong (but have a feeling that it might turn out to be right)https://legodesk.com/legopedia/intestate-succession-and-inheritance-under-hindu-law/ there were two types of succession under mitakshara.only in joint property sons get birth right but in a property acquired by father they don't get birth right .I feel now 2 is certainly wrong .
so acc to you, answer is 1 and 3 or 3 only?
@BhallaRobert Scores were scaled to 200. So, effectively 92.57 meant 90.7 out of 196. (92.57*196/200). Thus, even if you add 2 marks cutoff would have been more or less the same. Expect it to be in the 90-92 band this year as well.
correct.
@bhuvanamalar1015412 In 2018, in this same forum blog, we were all discussing about the toughness and different pattern in the paper compared to previous years. Many were expecting the cutoff to be 90 and not more than that. But in the end the cutoff was 98. Whatever the toughness or difficultly, somehow people will get 90+ through luck or hardwork. Don’t expect cutoff to get below 90 in this competition era and decreasing amount of vacancies. If one is sure of getting less than 85, he/she should relinquish the hopes of clearing pre
In the same forum, people were discussing cutoff to be more than 100 last year and it went down to 92. The thing is everyone is inflating score by taking that key which is giving them maximum marks and then counting those positive which they find it here and there. Remove these 9-10 answers and surely most will come down to below 90. So everyone who is getting 80-100 is safe and unsafe at the same time and should continue studies. 5 questions in your favor and your score will go up by 13 marks from 82 to 95.
reminded me of Shrodingers Cat experiment. The Box will open in a week, and only then we will know which kitties are alive and which are dead. Till then, as you said, safe and unsafe at the same time.
@prachimalik1121311 wow that escalated fast. sorry if i offended you somehow. i know tensions are running high and people are on edge. but i was just settling the question
"unsettling" the answer was more like it. Lol. Kidding.
Regarding the Indus question, I have 2 questions. You can add your suggestions.
Q. "With reference to the Indus river system, of the following four rivers, three of them (1)pour into one of them which joins the Indus direct. Among the following, which one issuch river that joins the (2)Indus direct ?"
It says'pour into', does it say 'meet' ? Pour should means 'drains into'.
Does it say three of them pour one by one ?
What do you mean by"direct". Chenab river firstly meets other rivers. how it can be direct ? Hindi Translation says " Jo sindhu nadi seyseedhi milti hai".
we Jhelum peeps have nothing to contribute to this question.

This will definitely my last comment in this thread. Guys, I am scoring well enough , but used to come here after writing mains mock answers. You people are good.
on ending note I want to say that my Arcot Question also turned wrong. Answer isNotA. I am quoting the source from where it is taken. Please search "Arcot" in it. You will find the word "emerged" and Nawab.

So answer would be 2 only right??
our goal is to make 2 and 3 right. lol. keep digging.
haha, you're kidding right?
no man ! I have spoken to a history professor. He has shared some write up. It’s clearly mentioned that Ali Muhammad got Back katehar due to Ahmad shah Abdali invasion and then he changed the name to rohilkhand.
The word “ formed “ in the third statement is making it different from the first two statements.
oh man i really hope that's the case, im sitting on edge around 90-92 GM. Hoping any one doubtful question goes my way(though so far, all are expected to go against me).
federalism ka toh saaf saaf likha h laksmikant me. KI "independence ofjuduciary" is a feature. ye bhi doubtful hai??
Laxmikanth main "Bicameralism" bhi diya hai . Both are features of federalism, but the Q is which is more essential. Most likely A hi hai, but B can't be 100% ruled out as its a matter of interpretation in end. Its subjective.
@Guesswhoshere sab UT ka represenatation nahi h parliament me..
UT is not linked to federalism. UT are under Centre. States are constituent units(India is Union of States)
PS i still think A is likely answer, please everyone dont worryyyy.
@Denisovan2019 😂😂😂😂i marked Jhelum in Indus question I am still thinking why 🤣🤣
haha finallyyy. I thought I am the only one who did this remarkable act. Only silver lining of marking jhelum is not losing hair and sleep finding the answer between satluj and chenab.
@Guesswhoshere i marked jhelum too. sahi h na jhelum?
i mean, rivers change course all the time, in past, Jhelum could have directly flowed into Indus. The Question doesn't mention the geological time-period clearly. Question may be cancelled. Lmao.
@Salwal so what's the answer? Is it Chenab?
as per the latest source, it seems like its Jhelum, surprising.
Anyone please tell me....in fig tree question of paper 2.....in the passage it's written, that fig trees are present in urban and agricultural landscapes where other large trees are absent. Why can't I say that fig trees grow where other large woody species are absent.
Option -1,3 and4 is right only.....but statement 2 also has some weight yaar
nope. statement 2 is wrong. one can't assume ki fig trees grow where others dont.
@sleeplessnights89 Rank 1 disputed Q (UPSC bhi sochti hogi kya Q banaya... confuse hi kar dia)
they will be forced to choose Jhelum in the end as a compromise. I saw this coming. Go Jhelum
@prachimalik1121311 appeared like a landmine to me.didn't attempt
yeah i stepped on the landmine, lost 2.67 toes.
The answers to all the Questions are determined prior to the publication of papers. They deliberate only upon technical errors (translation errors, error in language of Qs (like role of congress in 1823)). It is not that they are discussing answers of our controversial questions. TG groups are baseless now.
This would make sense. Its unlikely that they discuss answers post facto. They aren't answerable they can publish whichever answer they deem as correct and I dont think they are arguing with themselves on what answers to choose, voh aspirants nahi hai.
havent tallied with many keys, 2 keys i did, i was getting between 90-92 GM. I realised im gonna be borderline, so didnt bother checking many keys.
