Last year scored around 100.33 from Vision Key but in the real mark sheet, it was only 90.47. Hope this does not happen this year.
@toooldtodieyoung Last year I attempted lot of controversial questions like Desher Katha, Science and technology questions, Qualification for elections. Additionally, I was not very well prepared in terms of practice. Last year I use to score around 80 -100 in my mocks.
This year I felt I was very well prepared as in mock tests I was scoring in the range of 100 - 150 but still I found the paper very very difficult. This year In most of the controversial questions, either I have attempted it wrong for sure like In the Indus river question I have marked Jhelum so I know it is definitely wrong or the questions if it answers gets changed will affect everyone like the Magnetite particle question for which I have marked d.
Yeah, all the doubtful questions you are mentioning for last year except a person who is eligible to vote, I considered them right according to answer keys of coaching institutes while calculating my score.
This year in controversial questions like:
1) Right To City (I have marked c but still doubtful)
2) Pressure Cooker ( I have marked d which is definitely wrong)
3) Virus and synthetic medium (I have marked d which I think is wrong)
4) Indus River (I marked Jhelum which is definitely wrong)
5) Reservation for Women (I have marked b but still doubtful)
6) Magnetite Particle (I have marked d; the answer could be b or d)
7) Copper Smelting (I have marked d which I think is wrong)
8) Casual Worker (Not Attempted)
9) Indian & British Democracy (I have marked c which is correct according to most keys including Shubra Ranjan ma'am but still doubtful)
@rawhull This time it feels like there are more doubtful questions. Last year also there were lots of doubtful questions but at least keys of coaching institutes were not varying much, iss baar toh 10 marks difference from one answer key to another seems normal.

@Rambo93 Very true, Last year I was scoring 100+ from various keys but ended up getting 90.47.
Plus, This year I was scoring 120+ in mock Tests but I am struggling to cross even 100 in this years exam. Coaching walo ke test ke upar se bharosa uth gaya hai.

@harilal From which key you are getting 104? If from Vision, Forum or Insights then you have some chance of clearing Ifos

@srivalliguru940 Sir to be honest last time I was scoring 106 from the toppers key but got 90.47 when UPSC released the marksheet. This year getting 105.66 from Topper's key but from other keys like Shankar, Forum, Baba getting 100 & from Vision Getting 97.33. So taking the least possible score as the real score.
@srivalliguru940 yeah 10 marks difference is possible in keys of coaching institutes and UPSC, but I guess topper's answer key will have a higher difference with UPSC as to how everyone scoring well from that particular key only.

@shashi_rane786589 Fir toh aap pakka safe ho, kya tension leh rahe ho aap. 105+ no matter how many doubtful questions you have considered correct will not affect your chances

@saurabher43267 I think the pressure cooker answer should be 1&3. Indus wale ka Chenab. (I have marked both as wrong)

@Udit_pathak I know so many people who are crossing 95 and 100 in paper 1 but are getting between 55-65 in CSAT

@oopsie It may be sutlej but the problem is we cannot rule out Chenab too. (BTW, maine dono hi mark nahi kiya hai but I feel Chenab should be the right answer)

@Capedcrusader1 then how so many toppers this year are from classroom coaching program of vision and vajiram. Rank 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, etc.
It's so confusing, some say coaching centres are on the decline while we see so many toppers from their classroom coaching program.

@sleeplessnights89 One of the faculty of Vajiram use to say only 10% of students will benefit from these coaching classes rest are treated as part of the economy.
@Capedcrusader1 I am one of the victims of that mentality, It's a total waste of time, I wonder how people claim to clear this exam in the first attempt that too by joining coaching like Vjairam and others which does not allow sufficient time for self-study.
