@tedmosby It may not be dropped & yes, out of other options, 4 seemed the best choice.....But to say the one constituted in J&K & even Assam for that matter are not Delimitation commissions and are the same as the 2002 commission, just because of the same act is just wrong.....

In the actual exam when this strikes you, you simply leave the question.....

My hunch is that they will stick with 4 as the answer; but unfair to those who left the question.....

It holds logically as well.

84th CAA, 2002 froze the seats till the Census to be conducted after 2026. So whatever Delimitation we are doing is according to the Delimitation Act of 2002 (i.e. acc to Census of 2001).

J&K and Assam are special cases as seats were not delimited back then.

@tedmosby how are you? Hope you are not drinking 3 stings a day!

Oh hey!@London
I am good. Couldn't sleep the night before Pre so drank Redbull (instead of Sting xD) + black coffee.
What about you? Anxious about the results?!

In for my 5th Attempt and 3rd Mains. (I was scoring 100 in P1 and 90 in P2 by the Forum answer key).

I will call myself "lucky enough" to clear this Prelims as today I saw many candidates with the same scoring range to be in or out of the list which includes some of my friends. I am shocked, to say the least, because I have been on that side. I know precisely how it feels to fail Prelims. I just hope this process was a little less cruel and a little less opaque.

This process has been mentally taxing for me which is why I couldn't sleep for two days before Prelims. I wrote both the papers in that 45-46 degrees hot exam hall in Delhi. I was severely dehydrated during my first paper. Still I kept my cool and just implemented my strategy. I did not deviate a bit. So yes, I was nervous about not getting in this time because the paper was seemingly easier than Pre 2023 and people were predicting that cutoff will be high. I started for Mains prep just a day after I reached home on 18th anyhow.

Seeing my roll number in the list was a small psychological victory for me. Those who know me precisely know what this meant for me. But not seeing some of my friends too in the list gives me immense pain. I was preparing for Mains 2024 along with them. I know one should think about themselves in this exam but seeing your friends sad because of this one cruel exam is unbearable. But yes it's not the time to get emotional and I know we need to get back to work.

To those who qualified, congratulations. This is just the beginning. The real battle is yet to start. For those couldn't, I precisely know how that feels. I just hope you guys clear it next time, my best wishes are with you. I don't think I am competent enough to comment on people who have exhausted their attempts. I just wish you the best and I hope you make it big in your life.

Rest assured, I will try my best to implement my Mains strategy (Working on it consistently since I gave Mains 2023) and hopefully get out of this cycle. It has been nearly 6.5 yrs since I started this prep (by self-study) and I just hope that my strategy for this exam works out this time.

All the best to everyone! :)
