[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Scoring 108(shankar) and 106(vision). Obc. Csat 92 (vision). Still couldn't clear. Have been clearing prelims consecutively last few years. Don't know what went wrong and what to do.

@Rambo93 Those so called controversial qns doesn't change my score because I have either skipped it or have received negative marking in both the keys i have checked. And I don't think there will be much variations in other answers. Losing another 10 marks is highly improbable. That's what worries me.

@MC Cullum  Don't know bro. I have never doubted the processes before. I always try to cross check my omr info before handing over to invigilators. But still inexplicable thing happened with me this time. Being on margins and failing is less painful compared to this totally shocking result.

@captainamerica Yeah. Even state PSC s do upload the omr response sheets before final results. How can we make UPSC do the same? Atleast a semblance of transparency will come to the process if they do so. Will filing RTI help anyway?

@Sramana I really didn't mean to offend anybody or rub salt. It was my genuine feeling and that is what I wrote. As I said this was my first attempt so may be wrong with my analysis/understanding but the intention was never wrong.

I totally agree with you. I have been into this process last few years and cleared multiple times consecutively. Despite scoring around 108(multiple answer keys) paper 1, omitting all so called controversial ones, and 90+ in paper2, along with obc category cutoff, I couldn't make it this time. The problem with many others is that they are not even sure about getting qualifying marks in paper 2. That's why there is a general acceptance of result by many though none of us know what would have really happened. It is high time upsc released prelims marks scored by individuals and cut off. I dont know what upsc is worried about when everyone knows that it is an objective paper and has no effect on final score. Something has to be done to bring in atleast a semblance of transparency to this process.
