@Sramana I really didn't mean to offend anybody or rub salt. It was my genuine feeling and that is what I wrote. As I said this was my first attempt so may be wrong with my analysis/understanding but the intention was never wrong.
I totally agree with you. I have been into this process last few years and cleared multiple times consecutively. Despite scoring around 108(multiple answer keys) paper 1, omitting all so called controversial ones, and 90+ in paper2, along with obc category cutoff, I couldn't make it this time. The problem with many others is that they are not even sure about getting qualifying marks in paper 2. That's why there is a general acceptance of result by many though none of us know what would have really happened. It is high time upsc released prelims marks scored by individuals and cut off. I dont know what upsc is worried about when everyone knows that it is an objective paper and has no effect on final score. Something has to be done to bring in atleast a semblance of transparency to this process.
