By this is he signalling that exam is postponed?

With the announcement of extension by 2 more weeks, now the subject matter of this thread needs to be changed to "Expected date of Prelims2020"

Howz it possible that there is no insider info on forum regarding the probable dates? Everytime doing the Final result, insiders even get to know where the result file is. Isnt it? :unamused:

Any date before NEET or JEE, if anything goes wrong blame is on UPSC.
So, I believe exam will be either in July end or most likely August - just playing safe

@Yo_Yo_Choti_Singh Sorry for asking in the wrong thread. But PYQ how many years to follow and from any specific source? Can you please suggest?

1. Since NEET, JEE dates are already announced, exam dates most likely will be announced tomorrow.

2. They might allow us to change centres.

3. Likely date - August 9

In Insights terminology all WildGuesses :joy:

UPSC will most likely comeup with a revised calendar on June 5th. That might bring some certainity about all the dates including Mains.

Hopefully!!

If I revise now and if prelims is scheduled around August I would not be able to recollect. If I dont revise now and if Prelims is scheduled in 30days around June 5th, I may not have time to revise then.

Anyone else facing this dilemma?

Will the vacancies be affected? Vacancies created in the extra time will they be added to the current year or will they wait for the next year as usual?

@AbhishekV UPSC is only concerned about recommending some names for the posts. It gives a damn about Aspirants interests. Here and there it can accomodate few interests as long as it doesnt affect the process much. But ya overall it doesnt care about aspirants.

Hopefully someday UPSC becomes more transparent and accountable that it will make UPSC journey for both successful and unsuccessful aspirants cheerful and not as brutal as it is now

Nellore to Tirupati about 140km, 3 hrs journey. What do you guys recommend taking a room there the previous day or starting early in the morning on Exam day? Generally I used to take a room nearby the centre but this time considering the risks involved, evaluating the options available. What do you guys suggest?

I wasnt preparing for Forest anyway.
