Second guess his preparations..
I am not downplaying corona or anything... Just saying ki leave it to upsc... Unse zyada Akal nahi aayi hai hum sb me abhi
@Thor_vs_Hulk bhai what about flinging salah like a kid in ucl final
Haha true... Pepe and sergio ramos have only one job... To injure the opposition striker 😁
@MaxBlack he us asking for postponement not for wasting an entire year!
Postponing now means cancellation.. According to him vaccine will come in 80 days.. Assuming 100 days and then vaccinating the entire country.. And fir uske baad prelims.. This means postpone lobby wants the exam in feb/march.. How is it possible when 2021 prelims is in june? Isn't it better ki exam is held on 4th oct and all are given an extra attempt especially age factor waale.. Obviously this won't satisfy all but it is a lot better than cancellation..
- Aadhar is 3 only(check Aadhar act)
- Udhr is all(April Yojana)
- Fertigation should be 2,3,4(IITk website)
- Cyberinsurance is all(DSCI doc)
AI is the only one very unclear. And maybe nf debt.
@Caesar Can you post the relevant screenshots of Aadhar Act and DSCI doc?
or Else can you provide the link of those documents I am not able to find the exact document.
Aadhar act definitely talks of benefits from CFI but no where mentions that state cannot enter into contract with the private companies to share data ... And Aadhar not mandatory for insurance .... Again very unclear
I spoke to 2-3 insurance agents and they said AADHAR is MANDATORY for Insurance products and then I saw this news. https://www.paisabazaar.com/aadhar-card/irdai-makes-aadhaar-linking-with-insurance-policies-mandatory/
Let UPSC decide our fate.
Aadhar is not mandatory.. Initially irdai did give a notice in 2017 that it is mandatory.. But in 2019 supreme court stuck it down.. Thats where this question came from
Regarding the contract part SC stuck it down in the aadhar verdict.. See vision pt 365 2019 polity 2nd page.. It lists all the sections that sc stuck down in the aadhar act.. It also mentions about 6 months of metadata
@Equalizer it depends on interpretation of words if there is "issued" than it would be 3 and if it's debt held by than all are correct ....i think it's going to be three onlyOne more thing in national biofuel policy it's true that given four options can be used but there is also a point three in the notification of government that in order to make farmers get more price for their produce all excess cereals and farm grains can be sold for biofuel with permission from government ,,I think all can be correct on lines that during covid excess rice was converted into biofuelIt's only a speculation that upsc can make it all are correct however it's also a fact that only four out of six are clearly mentioned
All cannot be the answer.. No way is the government allowing groundnut seeds for biofuel.. As it is India is importing million of tonnes of oil seeds every year.. With rice and wheat they have allowed excess.. Obviously coz that is excess and is rotting in fci godowns..this was the argument given in 2018 while debating the draft policy.. However nowhere is oil seeds mentioned except jatropa because that is non-food...
Hence all all cannot be the answer..
Why nobody answering my query? Is sulfur used as raw material for phosphoric acid fertilizer?
Yes.. According to vision.. Sulphur is used in phosphoric acid fertilizer
(There is a process known as 'The Wet Process')
Otherwise also you can read about preparation of phosphorus fertilizers.. Sulphur is a raw material

Ok. Bro in wet process H2SO4 is used. I think there is a vast difference between sulphur and sulphuric acid. Sulphur Is a non metallic mineral while sulfuric acid is industrially produced chemical. But my knowledge in agriculture is so meagre I can't say anything with certainty. Just my point of view.
Arey the phosphorus component is made using sulfur, coal, and phosphate rock
To isolate phosphorus from phosphate rock, it is treated with mixture of sulphur and other useless things producing phosphoric acid. Also kyun itti tension le rahe ho.. If you have marked 2 and 3 in this question.. It is correct. Don't overthink..
Yaar maine iska B lagaya hai.
B is the answer. Don't worry.. The entire passage talks about the low risk taking attitude of indians. The passage wants us to invest in such risk taking investments rather than boring FD's and saving accounts.. Original article chahe kuch bhi kahe but the given passage meant this only. Baaki let people say anything. Everyone wants their answer right including me
For so great exam people had, forum this season has garnered prolly the least traction in the last 5 years. Those who have been in forum since they started taking baby steps for upsc would know. Also for the first time I am seeing people so concerned about paper 2 , literally on every page we are seeing paper 2 discussion
*High quality bakar ek khwab hai*
Maybe sabka gs paper 1 achcha gaya ho... In insights poll it is showing 2k people getting 110+
Good luck believing those polls.
If you were here, you would have known how jostling the forum used to be in 2016 2017 when 110 scores were commonplace. In 2018 19 too when 100s were common forum used to be far far more active.
Bilkul sahi.. Even the toughest of papers kept the forum active and that too till the result day almost.
Iss baar don't know what has happened..
And yaa Insights polls are fraud. This is a well known fact now
Question yaha see frame Kiya hai representation bhej dete to much baat banti
Yes.. Upsc meant king Bhoja l who actually made the dynasty popular.
Although they should have specified. Coz there was another Bhoja earlier. Answer will be same as coaching's 2413
@Thor_vs_Hulk why can't it be 2-1-4-3
Pratiharas rose under Bhoja l. The earlier bhoj was not a sovereign king i think.
For example it is accepted that guptas rose under Chandragupta l although the non sovereign founder was Ghatotkacha(father of chandragupta l)
But again Upsc gets to decide. Someone has listed the source above.. Going by that it should be 2413

As upsc mentioned establishment of pallava power under Mahendra man 1, and not rise of pallava, I think it is talking about initial days of pratihara.
Yes.. Either of them can be the answer.. Depends from where Upsc framed the question. Although if upsc wanted the founder of Pratiharas they would have mentioned establishment or founded by bhoja or mihir bhoja like in other options where they have written it . But here they specifically mentioned rise of pratiharas. That means the first sovereign or the dominant thing because pratiharas did not rise under the earlier one.. They were feudatories
Some people really need to get some nuance while reading the preamble question
Both A and D options are same. However D option is an extension of A.
A just says that preamble has no legal implication
D says it has no implication independent of others
Obviously the whole basic structure is based on the ideals of the preamble.
Obviously the various legal and fundamental rights and provisos give fruition to the objectives forwarded in the preamble
Secularism , that is expressly provided for only in the preamble has been used by bommai case.
Obviously preamble has no legal implication.
But read it with the constitution it forwards only those ideals that preamble provides for.
The option A would have been correct had there been no option D. That's the case with that tourist officer question. Not with UPSC
Perfectly answered.. A would be correct without D. But since option D is an extension of A, it is the best possible answer.
Yes, paper 2 is key to getting 325+Same store here man. Even missed the final list by 13 marks. Not getting to write mains this year will be too tough to take.129.34 in Paper 1, 80.83 in Paper 2 -2019 scores. I feel silly that this time my score is in 90s.
Our maths marks r almost same. I need to improve paper 2 marks..
Yeah.. But the syllabus is too damn vast.. Anyways all the best

Try to attempt 180-200 correctly in paper 2 ;make strategy accordingly
Haan.. Kuch to krna padega. Attempted approx 175 last time.

30(1st q)+35+40(5th q)+35+50 =190 ( section a 2 questions and section b 3 questions)
Haan this is the best. Section A is too uncertain with proofs and stuff.
In the csat RC it is clearly written- answer it based upon the given passage. "The passage of 10 lines given in the question paper".not from the whole articles that you find from the original sources.
Upsc answers in both GS and CSAT have always been based on source passages and verbatims. Always. No exception. As a matter of rule. Whether one likes it or not.
I think it's like this :
1. Criticial inference / message / summary of the passage can be arrived and the answers given are from the RC itself.
2. Questions in which assumptions are asked might be taken up from the article
If you see and try to get a pattern most of the coaching institutes have different keys with assumption questions and almost 12-13 answers are not debatable with 6 keys , they are clear and same.
Coaching keys are most of the time wrong on assumption based RC, In such questions you can't look for RC and must look article. What's the point of asking for assumption if it's explicitly mentioned in RC itself . To substantiate further Check shankar's keys in 2018 and 19 . In 2018,nine of their RC's are wrong and 6 of them are assumption based ones only.
Yes.. This is the actual pattern followed by upsc as well.. For only assumptions questions, one needs to look beyond the passage.
The Terror of CSAT!! Is it real or just a way to get away from the real terror (GS)Mujhe personally GS is baar ka easy laga compared to last year or even 2018, jada hype bana diya hai. This was my first attempt, i use to get around 110 in Vision Abhyas and 130+ in OnlyIAS , other mocks, finally in exam i solved just 74 questions and getting around 60-61 questions correct. Some questions were difficult but you need not solve 90+ evrytime to qualify
Tumhare paas "Entire Political Science" ki degree hai.. Sb easy hai aapke liye..🙏🙏
@apeksha1017556 D is correct
Cannot be... Groundnut is an edible oil seed.. Policy clearly mentions non edible oil seed such as Jatropa..
@Kingslayer123 this is gazette notification of policy ! It clearly says food grains can be used in surplus times . Coaching waalo ne ek para padh ke answer A diya hai
Arey bhai.. Puro policy to padho.. Don't act ignorant.. It clearly says non edible oil seeds.. Don't go bazooka on coachings.. 😅
@Thor_vs_Hulk bit the problem is, the policy talks about excess grains also now how do you interpret that ?
Yeah.. But oil seeds are not food grains. And it explicitly says non edible oil seeds.. That was the whole point of asking the question
@Thor_vs_Hulk bhai aap bhi jaldi mein miss kar diye ! Read the available feedstock for ethanol . It clearly says excess food grains. For biodiesel it says non edible oil
Oil seeds can only be used for Biodiesel not for ethanol.. So considering ethanol ground nut is excluded automatically.. And for biodiesel it clearly says edible oil seeds..
Baaki bhagwaan jaane..😅😓
@Darth_Vader why only Bihar and Haryana? Go through Delhi also
Coz abhi elections sirf Bihar me hai.. So UPSC will probably see only Bihar's Nalsa document. 😁
@Equalizer Are actually geoundut se confusion ho raha hain. But someone in above comment has given a clarification regarding that so may be All bhi ho sakta hain let's see
Is document se answer cannot be arrived for sure. Koi ministry se puchho plz.
Lol.. They will be like " wo etc etc me hoga"
@CHRIS12 ya so that comes down to almost the same equilibrium. 40 days from Prelims would be 14th November. 60 days from mains would be 8th November. So insider news bracket should have been between 8th to 14th November. 🤐
Lite lo ye sb.. Controversial questions discuss krte hain.. 😁😅
Cutoff 96-98 for csp, IFoS- 117-118. Only thing is varying keysYes that's y with 96 I am in
@Equalizer i am happy u also got through.. You seemed to be really active on this thread and were quite worried. Congrats.. all the best for mains.. Phod denge..
Okay guys I am on a rant here.
Sorry . I am OUT But how?
I basically checked again.
I am getting 104.5 using Vision in GS1
And getting 75 using Vision in GS2.
Ye kya ho raha hai?
Is the cutoff 110?
Noo.. Its just that some controversial questions which u may have considered correct have turned out to be wrong OR some unexpected question bhi ho skta hai which may not be controversial but upsc ka answer alag hai. It may even be csat
There may also be a possibility of wrong bubbling in omr in a few questions or u may think u attempted a question bt actual me bubbling nahi kari.. Kuch bhi ho skta hai.. Bt i think cutoff is around 96-98 only
