[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Guys we haven't reached the peak of covid19,still 1200 cases per day are coming and our testing %age is way too low.So brace for impact this disease is gonna raise its head for sure and any person who thinks prelims can happen on may 31 is oblivious to reality.UPSC being a constitutional body should ascertain its facts and don't engage in speculation,it demands factual answers but doesn't gives one via press release.Bit dissapointed with UPSC's response

Guys our testing has been way too low as per population size till this moment ie 2lac tests till now and around 20000 per day in a country of 1.3 billion where as in usa 15 lac tests in a population of30 crore.I am a doctor guys and believe me yesterday the patients tested positive in my hospital were asymptomatic. So you can judge the magnitude of problem.

@Neyawn fact of matter is many people who are coming are asymptomatic and especially young people. And there could be many like them who are there in open and maybe spreading like pizza delivery guy of delhi and tablighi jamaatis, due to ignorance or what ever they are worsening the situation. So ideally the construction activities should not have been allowed to resume and lockdown should be strict as in USA or Italy. But here political reasons and media vultures who are preying and overzealous wabt to create this war like situation into a showroom and masala movie

presently in my state, there is no supply of any national daily since lockdown began. Also Delhi itself a epicentre where cases still rising fast and since lockdown no test series and other material not available from ORN shops. So,as Dr Jitendra Singh said,UPSC will announce new dates.

SSC postponed its exams, read the statement, its logical and clear. And please use common sense and be street smart not a conspiracy theorist.UPSC demands common sense and street smartness for cracking.

@rootnot to demean anyone, just wanted everyone to calm down.Read and analyse. We should not be touchy and sensitive,of course everyone locked in houses for a month so obvious that we brain loses clarity. Its basic psychology, confinement messes up mind.So please,no offense and be logical and factual.Keep feelings in control and everyone is on the edge,so calm down guys.Keep calm,SSC and RBI have taken logical decision and UPSC will do that too.As even my Centre is at Delhi and that place is a hotspot and thus many like me will be there. So keep calm and do not be touchy as 11 year old brat.

@WillbeIAS correctly said, doubling rate al lone parameter is not correct totally as still 1600 cases per day arriving and the main issue how to reach exam center. Also IIT And NEET also have similar no of aspirants like about 9 lac,if they have postponed UPSC too will. Also CAPF too got postponed.
UP and Delhi have maximum number of centres and aspirants who prefer Delhi how will they reach and those who live in other states but prepare in Orn have gone back to native states. In many states where National Daily's come via train have not been available since rails stopped.
Sorry to say in a country like India where we have very poor civic sense, social distance is constantly flouted for eg see chandni chowk yesterday.
Though we young may not show symptoms but we will take infection to our parents and grandparents at home whom most of them will have BP,Diabetes,Repiratory problems etc.Which in fact have highest risk. So,stay safe and live to fight another day.

All will depend on our civic sense,we have to stop sneezing and coughing in public without covering our mouths and we need to stop spitting in public places.

What is the last date of vajiram new test schedule?I v heard Ravindran Sir has good connections as many senior officers were once his students.

@SantiCazorlayup.What does it mean?

Frankly when temples and mosques were ordered to open with SOP people thronged there as if going there will not spread virus and that showed we are less scared to COVID thats why Authorities are not scared too. Many people in markets not even wearing masks,no social distancing followed anywhere, people visiting even tourist spots like hill stations etc does that show to govt that common man is scared?Absolutely not.If people are not scared why should Govt be?
3.8k views
@Tazact Yaar govt cannot be at every chowk and nook of street,i am saying the general people have flouted lockdown rules even when it was strictest. We have to accept the general populace of whole world is not scared just see USA,people there opposed mandatory mask wearing by saying that Govt cannot force as it violates their choice making inherent fundamental right. We have to accept the fate, apni jaan apne haath. You have to take care of yourself because of some idiots we cannot continue distancing measures forcefully.I bet if India did,the usual suspects will too go to court citing Right to choose violation.

@Tyler Durden it was not  Suicide,if it was a hanging then it defies laws of mathematics and physics. And if that so called psychology expert walker says so then she must be given nobel in medicine for diagnosis of bipolar disorder in couple of months which actually requires years and years of counselling and behavior examination. Please donot listen has been journalist who has crashlanded on youtube from a top studio and is trying to find her MOJO which can't be done as people want facts not self glossing statement and hate Hippocratic speeches.

@Jayson_Bourne why rti or audit of PMCARES an issue?its not taxpayers money so why fuss? And media didn't gave SSR issue people pushed media to do it.Irony of us is that we want to hush up murder of innocent but create fuss on PMCares?

4.3k views
Issue in SSR is compromised Police Force and political interference in investigation. We saw how Arushi case was botched up due to lack of forensic training.

@Adi2077 thats a fact bro,not bait.

@Villanelle I have a MBBS degree so i have better idea about diagnosis of Bipolarity and Forensics. Also if Bipolarity diagnosed by psychology with couple of months and few sittings, that needs Nobel in Medicine this year.Ask any real doctors on Bipolarity and its diagnosis will give you a real picture.
Ps-no offence intended But facts don't care about our feelings-Ben shapiro.

3.9k views
@Villanelle you first quoted your 3 years of studies but when i did mine it was self aggrandizement, when you talk that forensic and psychiatric studies are not core of medicine study in india then please tell what lakhs of students in India studying and clearing exams during their graduation.Even in UPSC they have lot of weightage in optional papers as they are mentioned separately, that means even UPSC recognize them not peripheral but you the medical education expert classify them peripheral. And Jordan Peterson and Ben shapiro names causing you problems cos you must have been hurt by them ryt?Maybe they call out the lies?

6.2k views
@RaraAvis It needs lots of sittings and getting to know a person even his subconscious thoughts and lot of observations like even how a person even holds up their pen in different emotional situations ,its like knowing a person inside out and that needs lot of time.

6.2k views
@RaraAvis wow,how could you say that? There is a subject in our final year, and even you can read the UPSC syllabus that requires us to know about it.Even questions have from it of 20 markers,so as per you specialist any MedicalScience optional student should write in that 20 marks question that-dont know?or refer the patient? That will fetch me marks? If you are so good than a Doctor god bless And Treat the patients correctly, but do not try to issue wrong statements. That doesn't suit a student of science.

@mehuifs Bipolarity is a complicated issue it varies patient to patient. You can consult another doctor and get different opinion too if you are not satisfied.

@RaraAvis then by your logic a Defense Secy should be lower rank than Cheif of Army,Finance Secy should be lower than Cheif Economic Advisor coz they have just cleared a exam and they are generalist.Ryt? Since you have been digressing from the point i made and came to personal attack means you ceded your stand and point and debating useless issue. That means my fact hurt you.
Don't sorry feelings are meant to be hurt. And yes please do not go to doctors they are useless.happy.Hope you r happy.Coz happiness over useless issues and hyperbolic statements make you sleep good.

5.4k views
@RaraAvisthe way you have spun things is applaudable, but spinning and questioning my competence shows that you can diagnose better so Nobel goes to you this year.Any doctor whether a gynaecologist or pediatrician knows whats right or whats wrong diagnosis.getting any speciality  doesnt makes you forget the basics, like becoming an IAS or IPS doesnt make someone forget his basic degree.Yes he or she may not practise the profession but can easily point out if there is something fundamentally wrong.Even those who do speciality in non clinical subjects can spot when something is not happening in a right sense.
Let me give you an example even a Specialist of gynae despite not treating a Dengue patient if see that one of such patient has been given Asprin then that is a mistake and That Gynae expert can call it out.
But you digressed to ben Shapiro and peterson angle then you raised question on my degree, then i understood you are a self righteous guy where only you is epitome of correct opinion. and others are beneath you.

@PhoenixDNo purans support the untouchability and even Bhagwat geeta bursts this false myth. Please correct it,untouchability is not justifiable as it is not integral and part of hinduism. It is a social evil and that transcends boundaries of religion in South Asian countries.

The private hospital lobby has too much connections with almost all parties, they will make merry as NEET will bring donations and new patients too.Problem will be the middle class and low middle class students and their families who may have to go to Govt Hospitals for checking and admission and we all know that even a normal person is getting infection from poorly managed GOVT Hospitals.Even doctors are getting positive day by day and many young doctors have lost their lives bursting the myth that young can recover easily see the fate of junior resident doctor who died after testing twice negative and even in Biharhttps://www.thehindu.com/news/national/other-states/19-doctors-died-of-covid-19-in-bihar-250-infected-ima/article32320436.ece.

Exams must be postponed.

Guys lot of us are going to get the infection on that day, brace for impact.Govt has gone nuts. And zee news to kya kahe.
4.9k views
@Dev1990  many young doctors have died too,so everyone is responding differently to infection.Yes i can agree young are less susceptible to serious complications but many of us have grandparents and even many of our parents have Diabetes, hypertension etc...that is the real concern

@MC Cullum  Don't know bro. I have never doubted the processes before. I always try to cross check my omr info before handing over to invigilators. But still inexplicable thing happened with me this time. Being on margins and failing is less painful compared to this totally shocking result.

I agree with you,i too was confident because of getting 105-110 and csat too was above average score but i am shocked since last 24 hours. Why the hurry this time?what they did extra to prepone the result from expected 30-40 day average? And if this was possible why they didn't did in 2019 and 2018?
With this much opacity,i think UPSC is an irony personified.See NTA too uploads candidate's OMR to ensure the marking and UPSC cannot?NTA took NEET and JEE of almost double students than UPSC but they did so and thus you all have read the story of ST student who became topper of his category after recheck application.
Can we ask UPSC to do the same?
