[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

UPSC paper statement:

1.According to the Constitution of India, a person who is eligible to vote can be made a minister in a State for six months even if he/she is not a member of the Legislature of that State.

shouldnt be this correct? CM of Maharashtra Udhhav Thakare was CM even though he is not member of SLA or SLC

Another statement :

There is no minimum number of days that the Parliament is required to meet in a year.

Shldn't it be false? Even though it is not explicit but it is implicit that there shld not be gap for more than 6 months between the two sessions..

Yea.. but whlie solving the question i thought uddhav thakrey case particularly  as it was in the news..as there was no election to SLA seats due to corona and 6 months was going to expire and hence they wanted to nominate him in SLC...

I made serach on question regarding Desher Katha and following points became clear to me:

1. Desh here clear refers to India... it began how india was before british. Even the Hindi of book has title "Desh ki baat". He is born in Jharkhand, his ancestors were Marathi bought the book written is in Bengali language.

2. It was banned by British and the work was translated into other languages so that the content reach maxmium mass.. without pan-india content in the book it would have not been an appeal to the masses.

3. Cannot read the Bengali language but did read the index of the hindi version which has chapters on India rather than Bengal.

SO, refering above points it maybe safely assumed that satatemet 3 of the UPSC question is wrong.
