2 and 3 are definitely in the very high-risk zone.Which among the following areas in India lie in very high risk damage zone underearthquake hazard zones?1. Ladakh2. Arunachal Pradesh3. AssamSelect the correct answer using the code given below.a) 1 and 2 onlyb) 2 and 3 onlyc) 1 and 3 onlyd) 1, 2 and 3regarding Ladakh, there are 2 circles in the J&K region indicating level 4 risk as compared to the rest in the level5 zone. Ladakh could be in one of those circles.So the options to choose from are b and d.But since Ladakh is the whole triangular region(as per the new map), it won't be right to rule it out because of those 2 small circles.So most probably (d) should be the answer.
Answer is B.
Although I've always been confused between the acid and basic lava, but due to viscosity, both the statements are contradictory. hence both can't be true so c is eliminated. Viscosity and silica I think are related therefore statement 1 is wrong too.With reference to Acidic Lavas, consider the following1. They are highly viscous and have a low percentage of silica2. They form gently sloping volcanoes with a wide diameterWhich of the statements above is/are correcta) 1 onlyb) 2 onlyc) Both 1 and 2d) Neither 1 nor 2I think the answer would be d, since most probably basic lavas are less viscous.
D Is correct.
Which of the following statements with regard to the speech of Mahatma Gandhi at the opening of the Banaras Hindu University is correct?A. He supported the Indian elite for their contribution to INC.B. He asserted that our salvation can come only through the farmers.C. He highlighted the plight of the untouchables.D. He promised to take up the cause of the mill owners of Kheda.Ans must be "B".
Speech is all about the fact "Indian nationalism was an elite phenomenon, he wants it to be more representative". He had a basic say about 75% of population which were agriculturists during that time.
That's correct.
Is Vice President part of Parliament??
I have this doubt as Article 79 mentions that President and two Houses constitute Parliament. Though he is Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
But he does not preside a joint session of two houses. Speaker —>Deputy Speaker —>Deputy Chairman.
Parliament comprises of the President and the two Houses - Rajya Sabha (Council of States) and Lok Sabha (House of the People) ONLY.
@UK01 All correct :)
With reference to Monoclonal Antibodies, consider the following statements -1.They are artificially created by cloning a unique WBCs which aims to aid the body’s natural immune system.2.They are designed to carry drugs, toxins, or radioactive substances directly to affected cells.a. 1 Onlyb. 2 Onlyc. Both 1 and 2d. Neither 1 nor 2c?
Correct.
Antibodies are substances (Y-shaped proteins) that are produced by our body’s immune system, which destroy invading pathogens. Monoclonal antibodies are antibodies produced in labs, using living cells. These drugs therefore come under the head ‘biologics’, which are drugs produced exclusively from living organisms. They could also be ‘biosimilars’— biologics that are ‘similar’ to another ‘reference’ biologic medicine.

where did english establish their first factory in india? Surat or masulipatam. Spectrum says they got the right to trade at masulipatam in 1611 but the factory came along only by 1616, whereas the factory at surat was established in 1613it should be surat. Even I was of the view for masulipatam. I crossed checked it with source : sonali bansal + Ignou material
The East India Company arrived first at Surat, India in 1608. Surat was the port used by the textile manufacturers of GJ. Portuguese already had trading arrangements with the Mughal authorities and thus had an advantage. A factory was eventually established at Surat in 1612 when the Portuguese fleet was defeated by the English.
East India Company had since 1611 been based at Masulipatam on the Coromandel coast but not a factory.
