The Appellate jurisdiction of the SC is given under Art 132. 133 and 134 of the Indian Constitution. Article 136 is the Special Leave Petition to the SC. It is an extraordinary power of the SC which it uses sparingly.Appellate jurisdiction and Special Leave Petition are different as in Appeal is a matter of right for the individual/state whereas the Special Leave Petition is a kind of request which SC may or may not entertain.
