I am observing a highly increasing interest among students in ORN regarding ForumIAS prelims test series. I am not saying people didn’t liked it less earlier. But, it is on high demand these days in book stores and of course, telegram. I am a self-proclaimed telegram enthusiast among UPSC channels, not at all proud of it.
I want to know what has started working? Or did I miss something? Myself and many more are looking forward to this year’s SFG. But I am still curious what has happened differently this time.

Kindly drop the details of SFG's starting date and other features.

It would be great if a centre for SFG could be added in Bhubaneswar too.

Not a suggestion but a question, sorry if I'm not supposed to be asking this on this thread:
Those living in Patel Nagar, female aspirants especially (but all insights appreciated):

Is the area safe, especially if I have to go to the center possibly alone on winter mornings to write 7 am tests?  How much travel time would I have to set aside?

What would you choose between ORN/NRN and Patel Nagar? (Saraswati Vihar GGN is not an option for me).

Edit:
Another question.
I'd be elated to make a peer group of 4-5 serious, competitive and consistent SFG-writing candidates but none of my friends are planning to join. Do people end up making these groups during the course of the program?

Subject-wise CA across levels.
More focus on CSAT so that it can be comprehensively and gradually prepared on the side.
Integration of FLTs somehow for those interested?
Additionally, by when can we expect a near-final version of the test plan? Would like to plan things for the next 2 months accordingly.

@afanofpavlov FOR ANYONE PLANNING TO SHIFT TO DELHI-  reconsider this idea plz.
i have lived there in orn for SFG in 2023 before that i lived there for GS foundation  vajiram and before that during my clg days .
And trust me there is nothing soo special in shifting to delhi for upsc or offline tests, you’ll be bogged down by shear amount of bhejamari / daily jhik jhik . For example - room/flatemate issue, water motor issue, landlord/broker cheap tactics to trouble daily , love / @ex angle (80% junta failing due to this),bad company ( both sukhe and gile N@she are promoted) , BIGGEST is managing food ,maid, tiffin, cleanliness ,grocery etc. Above all the newfound independence where no one questions even if u sleep till 12 in morning during Delhi winters . ( junta skips morning tests after initial few days)
above that don’t come with the thought that youll get 4-5 students and you all will study and share and compete and clear. Instead, barely you’ll see any serious candidate talking to anyone. My experience says that 70 % junta in delhi is clueless about upsc, 20 % is confused or stuck in some personal issues, 10% is working hard and they do not entertain anyone easily( this includes IRS,IPS,STATE PCS,OR sincere 1st attempters)
Thats how its supposed to be to be. Prelims is an individual game ,it is booring, it requires multiple revisions of booring stuff ! Mains more or less same individual game but can share few answers among frnds if they have scored well earlier otherwise noo use. In interview groups helps specially of same background. And those grps will obviously consists of  cream students
so if staying in hometown is an option, i would strongly suggest stay there and develop discipline there only, join library,rent room to study……and give SFG or any test series at home ask papa mummy to wake u up or can share daily marks with them it will give u a push (skip if parents are toxic) as far as offline tests are concerned, February onwards forumias,vajiram,vision,gs score,nextias,rau ias many would conduct open mocks in almost all cities you give 6-7 such tests in offline school and u will be good to go.

@Neyawn

Namaste Sir!

Could you help me with this please.

Out of the many, one utility of SFG program is to develop consistency wherein a person enrolled to this program is made to start his/her day early in the morning by giving  a test.

Could you please tell will SFG benefit a person like me who is doing night shifts as for now and is willing to join this course?

Will it be beneficial for me as well, keeping in mind I will be attempting the tests with an exhausted mind(as my shift will be ending at 5 am in the morning and will be coming directly to the centre to give the test, though I will try to prepare for the test with whatever best I can), whereas, most of the other people in the course will be giving the tests in the early morning with a very fresh mind?

Eagerly looking forward  to your response on this Sir as my decision to shift to ORN in early December till Prelims 2025, depends upon it.

Thank you!

@NOTORIOUS

If you are planning to shift to ORN, plz reconsider your decision please, I would suggest you shift to Saraswati vihar.

Hey bro!

Can you or someone else please share contact numbers of brokers who offer and provide PG as accommodation at Saraswati Vihar. Tried getting some from Google but they aren’t too responsive. It would be of great help! 😄

Bhai I called the number which is given on the hoarding of Forum’s Saraswati Vihar centre, however, I wasn’t connected to any agent to talk to. All it did was press this key, that key and kept turning me back to the main menu only.

@afanofpavlov You can easily get DTC or metro if you live in patel nagar for 7AM tests. Also, you won't be going alone for 7 AM tests, there are many who commute daily from west/east patel nagar to ORN for SFG. You'll end up encountering same faces daily at metro/bus stops. However, friendship depends on you and them.
