Is/has anyone tweeting/tweeted regarding this?

Reviving the thread. Anyone has some new information on this? some ray of hope maybe..

@penIndeed. difficult year for us all, specially people preparing for competitive exams. Interviews start from today. Just imagine the plight of the candidates facing the interviews- add pressures of contraction of virus, expressing thyself with masks and shields on etc. People should get compensated for sure.

@penWell , he has floated an idea that is pro aspirants. I am not sure what DoPT is thinking on this. However , if more people raise their voices on social media and emails, they are bound to listen (I hope). Interviews started today. I cant imagine myself explaining questions asked effectively with the mask and face shield on. Plus added pressures of contraction of the disease during transit. I think one compensatory attempt as a one time measure is not illogical at all.

@akshay160189yes why not. I hope more people join us.

@sankalpr91That is indeed great. However, I wonder how MHRD would be able to help us with this.

14.3k views
@akshay160189I agree with you. We have to start immediately.

@pen which group?
cant see the link.

3.8k views
@penthanks for that facebook link. However I think their demand is somewhat different that what we seek. 35 years limit for UPSC CSE seems to be somewhat far fetched at this moment. However one time attempt as a one time measure due to the pandemic seems more realistic and genuine. I dont think the government would have any issues in granting that as a one time measure only.

@pen you are correct. I hope everyone gets at least one attempt next year. However I have heard a group of students have been demanding attempts since 2016.  I do hope more people join for an attempt in 2021 but I dont want it to get political. Else the government might get aloof to our plight.

@akshay160189thanks for this initiative

@penyes. thats a good idea. also if somehow this thread gets pinned...

@akshay160189can Mr Raveesh help us in this?

3.4k views
@akshay160189posting your link in the other speculation group that is pinned.

@penI think if more people ask him on twitter, he might pick up the issue. I have heard he has done a show on EWS age relax issue.

I think requesting authorities for attempts by emails and tweets is our best bet. only a conciliatory approach would work
3.3k views
@akshay160189though petition is a good start, we have to realize that just a petition would not work. We need to write and tweet more. Also I am hoping that post final 2019 results, maybe more might join us. who knows. we have to be hopeful . I dont think what we are demanding is illogical in any sense.

@akshay160189I think you should email the exact petition (with some modifications) to officials/ leaders as well. We cant just rely on the signing of petitions and numbers. We need to try whatever we can at our end. Make a list and start emailing. I hope if atleast some email, they might take notice.

I exhort more people to start writing to authorities.

My grievance to the PMO has been forwarded to Ms. Rashmi Chowdhary directly.

2) VP- http://164.100.47.5/Chairman-Rajyasabha/writetochairman.htm

@srk121srk25767i think we should send to secy UPSC (I have already sent), chairman UPSC and secy DoPT, joint Secy DoPT as well.

3.2k views
@srk121srk25767yes. UPSC can easily recommend DoPT for an attempt. Infact UPSC has already recommended removal of csat in august 2019.

@srk121srk25767Just a recommendation from UPSC might do wonders.

let us keep on updating the list of officials letters have been sent to, so others can keep a track of the info as well, and send to those officials

@akshay160189I agree. but not just 700 odd students. I know some people who could not perform at their best (myself included; in interviews scheduled just before lockdown). Further, in my opinion, even if the government decides to compensate the interview students, who could not find their name in the holy pdf (due to pandemic/other reasons) , they would have to compensate the whole 2019 batch and not just 700 odd students. Else, I think others might file cases.

I researched about the attempt that was given to aspirants from 2011 in 2015. The whole batch was compensated, even those who cleared in 2011 and were in service in 2015. Even they got another chance to improve their ranks and their service. Selective attempt was not given.

@xxiinn12345907 The issue seems different, but any demand for attempt might make officials think of granting an attempt to all affected, maybe. I really hope they do!!

Ms Nidhi Taneja, journalist, who has raised several issues of students/aspirants in the past few months, has tweeted for UPSC aspirants. I believe more people should put forward the demand of an additional attempt by giving one time relaxation as a special case. Kindly tweet/retweet/dm her about the issues we are facing.

I can feel the pain some of us must be feeling today. I hope we get one chance.

@akshay160189I hope we get some support now.

I really feel the government should think about covid warriors atleast, the issues they are currently facing while preparing. It is impossible to prepare with a sane mind after 10-12 + hours of duties.
4.4k views
@Thanos_already done buddy. we need to tweet to her even more. I hope this issue gets traction

4.4k views
@xxiinn12345907no buddy! Though the grievances I have posted are still open. maybe some officials are deliberating on it.

5.1k views
Have they published admit cards for NDA exam?
@TONYSTARK90011Yes I saw that too. I wonder how will they ensure social distancing. It is impossible for a 2 paper on a single day exam like UPSC PRE. This pandemic could have been used to reform the prelims paper, but looks like they want to conduct on the older pattern itself.

In the gap of two hours between papers, maximum social mingling takes place. People share snacks, smokes, soft drinks , phones and what not.

Any updates regarding the issue? has anyone got any reply on the grievances filed ? some of my grievances are still pending.

Trying to revive this thread again. Does anyone have any update(s) regarding this issue. Last time I heard, DoPT was still deliberating on this issue.

In case they plan on giving an attempt, I believe it is high time to notify it. Preparation for 2021 has to begin ASAP. Seek more information on this.

Apparently, few people have filed a case regarding this. Anyone has any update? DoPT is being extremely tight lipped for some reason. They should atleast give us something.

Are they giving an additional attempt to the whole 2020 batch ?
