Should I skip 2025 for bihar pcs or not? 4 attempts down

I have given 4 attempts(2021,22,23,24)

2021- failed pre by 30 marks. 57 marks in gs.

2022- failed by around 10 marks.

2023- cleared gs failed CSAt ( gs 77.4)

2024- failed.. gs marks in 80s

I have two attempts left and age wise I can skip one year.

There is bpsc this year which I have to clear at any cost.. probably pre in November mains Feb .

Is it wise to go all out for bihar pcs and aim for 2026?

Or I should try for 2025? I am studying for both right now but I really want to kill bpsc.

Kya sahi hoga karna?

Two things are clear...

I have to clear bpsc this time and I have to seriously try for upsc in my life.

This year’s bpsc is going to turn tides. As the rumors suggests, the number of posts would be so high that every hindi speaker will make a way to Bihar this autumn.

But I don’t get your point, how come going for bpsc suggests that you should NOT go for upsc, 4 years already invested, right? You have another 20s promised or what?

@Siebzehn your strategy makes sense. But when we insert bpsc into the fora, we can make it quite flexible, can’t we?

Suppose you are preparing for bpsc prelims till november, definitely you’ll do a bigger chunk of preparation (for Jan-May) regarding pyqs and prelims this time itself (Sept-Oct). You can then catch up the mains preparation and take it to the early weeks of Feb. Also, you gotta write mains for bpsc as well.
I am not suggesting it will be easy, it is going to be the most chaotic infact. As soon as prelims ends, bpsc mains will knock on the door. Moreover, upsc mains is due Aug end next year. Still, it is NOT a good excuse to flunk the entire attempt just because you “have age”. The way things are going, holding an iron bar can claim your life.

@Lisan Al-Gaib When the core UPSC aspirant is preparing solely for mains till December and the core BPSC aspirant is practicing PRELIMS MCQs, how do you suggest managing time? Will it not be like sailing in two boats?
