@SergioRamos you might clear.. cutoff being predicted is 88 questions, ie around 117 118 marks.

Nope! I am stuck at 84 ques. Talked with some UPPSC khiladis and the folks were like minimum 90 questions are a must!
@Villanelle Lol same. Born and even studying in Lko, yet no info on Biotech park. Marked Noida! :P
Dude same! Marked Noida too.
@SergioRamos Why do people talk in terms of questions when it comes to UPPCS ? Isn't there negative marking as well? Why don't we talk in terms of net score?
I think they mean net questions correct

This causes confusion.
I think because negative marking was only introduced 2-3 years back@SergioRamos Why do people talk in terms of questions when it comes to UPPCS ? Isn't there negative marking as well? Why don't we talk in terms of net score?
Not to sound elitist, but after Preparing for UPSC, yesterday when I saw questions like which of the following airports is declared international airport, new NLU location, where was a solar park in 2018 Estd, felt annoyed.
UPPCS needs a dedicated stream of preparation. Have to do those ghatna chakras and factual current affairs.
UPSC knowledge will help you sail mains, not pre.
The reward is quite great if you clear prelims tbh for a UPSC aspirant. It is highly beneficial if one can give a couple of days a month to it. Thinking of doing it.
I don't think it needs a dedicated preparation. The things that one ignores while reading the newspaper like places in news, sports pages, person in news, etc. can be incorporated along with UPSC prep. I don't think these Ghatnachakras will be necessary for that
We can have multiple approaches to an exam! :)
