@peelu Which month?
Not to sound elitist, but after Preparing for UPSC, yesterday when I saw questions like which of the following airports is declared international airport, new NLU location, where was a solar park in 2018 Estd, felt annoyed.
UPPCS needs a dedicated stream of preparation. Have to do those ghatna chakras and factual current affairs.
UPSC knowledge will help you sail mains, not pre.
The reward is quite great if you clear prelims tbh for a UPSC aspirant. It is highly beneficial if one can give a couple of days a month to it. Thinking of doing it.

@Villanelle Lol same. Born and even studying in Lko, yet no info on Biotech park. Marked Noida! :P
@Caesar GRADE UP, Study for Civil Services
@DramaticAdmiral What do you think of that Study for Civil Services guy? His monthly CA videos are 1.5 hrs long. I think doable stuff?
@SergioRamos you might clear.. cutoff being predicted is 88 questions, ie around 117 118 marks.
Nope! I am stuck at 84 ques. Talked with some UPPSC khiladis and the folks were like minimum 90 questions are a must!
@abyz0101199129239 Used to be no negative marking before, hence a lingo developed!
@Sadhika In other ways too. Let me tell you, social distancing norms were followed in a much better way at UPPCS centres than UPSC. At least at my centre, arrangements were top notch. Even when the papers were about to be distributed, the packet was offered to the students if they wanted to check the seal themselves. A tiny gesture, but a nice one.
@Ethereal By dedicated I did not mean exclusive. I even wrote about giving a couple of days per month. The current affairs your mentioned, that coverage I meant dedicated prep. And the issue of ghatna chakras, trust me mate, if you match pyq's from ghatna chakra and this years' UPPSC, you will like to do them too. Plus, They are a good source of revision.
We can have multiple approaches to an exam! :)

@Agog Jaisa Bhi ho UPPSC, Karna to hai hi Bhai! It is a golden opportunity for UPSC fellas!
@sstarrr Same boat as you mate. Just gave first UPPCS. Stuck at 82 ques with the official key. The difference was facts and mug up gk things. Acc. to me, preparing for UPSC exclusively does not make you cross UPPSC cutoff. I'd suggest you solve the previous 10 yrs UPPSC prelims paper to get the hold of questions asked!
Source, our standard UPSC ones+ the Ghatna Chakras with UP current affairs.
There is a channel, Study for Civil Services. You can check them out!
I feel that if we just plan for it strategically, we can clear PT and mains can be given with UPSC knowledge.

@ShinchanNohara Trust me mate, I am very new to this PCS arena. I am not the person you look for advice. :p
I also want to know a great current affairs source!
