Best wishes + Paper Discussion Mains 2024
Scrolling through over here I saw a discssion thread for every year but didn't find one for the next year.
So, this thread is dedicated to the discssions regarding CSE 2024. Anyone planning to appear for the exam next year can join the discussion.
Looking at the level of paper and kind of questions asked this year, I believe we are going to need a lot of support from each other. Hopefully this thread will grow and help a lot of aspirants, both old and new.

I have been wanting to say this. Like Mera dissent note samaj lo yeh? Ayush sir, has good takes. I have learnt a lot from him. A lot. But 'kabhi kabhi' some of his takes are not so good. We all need introspection I guess? No one is perfect after all, right?~end
Also, if I clear capf ka pet, I'm thinking of skipping yeh saal ka pre. Is it a good idea? Parents toh naa bol rahe hai. They don't want to me skip pre, plus they don't want me to join defences(cds nikla hai)
And tbh, I don't wanna disappoint my parents.
Uffff enough of oversharin? Bas sahi salamat Ghar pohoch jau ek baaar. Kahi cops kal subha pakad na le💀 Fir I'll start acin. Sab karenge.
Also I'll focus on my body now.
I'll live my life achese! I'll make cse a part of my life. Lagne do time, no worries.
~ pre failure ke baad zindagi has changed drastically.
I'm growing. And it feels good. Life doesn't feel stagnant anymore.
On a side note, forum needs GenZ energyy🦍💀

Even in my case, I've cleared cds(pre) but yaar ssb ke 5 din seem like a gamble, given that prelims would be just around the corner.
Ayush sir vala point I agree, although I agree with most of what he says and yet, there are things that I don't resonate with, I dismiss them as a part of his experiential learning, maybe I'll hit chords with him when I reach his experience, tab tak ke liye mein apne echo chamber se apni ego feed krlunga xp no hate :)
I'm really happy to see aspirants like you who are enjoying the process and respecting it whatsoever, mains 2024 vala thread dekh kr, process bhot daunting lagta hai, but, tbh, everytime I compare my position corresponding my previous attempt, I always notice ki har baar I've been grossly unprepared and how far I've come, my point being, if you just follow the process you'll ALWAYS notice an improvement (in both absolute and relative terms), so maybe, it may not appear as evidently today, but there's always room for improvement (atleast in absolute terms).

The upsc keeda has been at the back of my mind all throughout. Over the last few days, it has matured, so that now I have entered the prep, officially.
Today is only the second day of prep and i opened Forum after a long time. The very first thread was about brilliant people not clearing mains. Not a very good start I'd say.
Have given two attempts before, and failed pre both times. Its mid Dec already, i don't think i can afford not to prepare for pre directly. More so because I'll be appearing for Haryana PCS and CSIR CASE in Feb (heads up for anyone looking for a backup!). I can't start slow.
My prep from here on will be pre oriented, but will keep covering optional too (Haryana gives v little time between pre and mains, and having attempted it's pre without any prep, m almost sure I'll get through. Haryana has the exact same syllabus as upsc, thankfully).
That is all. I am more nervous than excited honestly, but it does feel good. Will be posting my targets from today on.

Went to my school reunion yesterday, it felt so good to be back to the place where this ias dream was born, meeting your teachers feels really inspiring and definitely worked as a reminder as to 'why' I started this prep.
School friends mein maturity ka koi naamu nishaan nhi tha or probably it's the preparation that makes one extremely critical of people :/
