What is this obsession of institutes with hoarding solutions for 2-3 days? Someone please put the solutions into essential commodities act for god’s sake !

Guys, prelims is a different game all together. I failed to clear it TWICE and last year my Abhyas marks were 130+ in all THREE and similar marks in other full and open tests as well. So other than your preparation, a good/lucky TWO hours is also needed, nonetheless we should keep our preparation top notch.

Btw I scored 102 in this Abhyas, Lowest so far but these scores don't affect me anymore. Hope for the best!

@AlexanderSupertramp  Well@Neyawn Sir told in one of his videos that anything more than 85-90 percentile is good enough. However I think one should aim for atleast 95 percentile.

That is based on my observation of people who have cleared Prelims and were in this range. I would still say, strive for 95% percentile, but don’t lose heart with a 85-90 percentile. Also, don’t be the guy who celebrated after a 95%tile and is unable to maintain consistency .

@goldberry I exclude only extreme marks..for example in abhyas highest is 150..but after rank  5 or so...score drops to 130 and then it gets decreasing constantly...so real highest score is  130 around ..which is achievable..and one should aim for.
got around 105 lots of mistakes due to lack of revision.

@AlexanderSupertramp I think otherwise, ie , open tests gave a better yardstick to judge our preparation than Abhyaas.
Open tests were better poised for everyone as they were conducted offline. Since Abhyaas was via Online mode, there must have been quite a chunk of people who would have opted for nefarious activities. Hence your overall decrease in percentile might be because of more people scoring high marks (one got 150+ 😐 ) by using Google instead of grey cells.

@chiranjeevbishwas1994302 Abhyas 3 seems easier than 2 in my opinion...but both fail to match quality of UPSC questions.

Got 92. Abhyas exam showed the reality for me,what happens if i relax due to lockdown reason.

Needed to work on revison part and static part rigorously.

@Lost a lot of questions were directly from the magazine maybe that's why. I personally found it more difficult as well since I don't blindly follow one single magazine and pick and choose and compile the most probable CA from different sources for final revision. First one was more balanced. This one wasn't like UPSC trend. Just my opinion. Not a pro.

What should be the minimum desirable percentile score in this test? Given that about 8800 people wrote this exam and the scores of toppers also look reasonable enough also most of the people writing exam at this time are serious candidates with almost full level of preparation.

@extinctinwild if at 109.45 you are scoring a 400s rank then how can the average be 109?? 🤔🤔

Average is not a correct metric to get the idea how peers have performed. Median gives a descent idea. I really don't knw why coachings give avg of candidates. A few high scores will pull up the avg.
