Cut off can be expected to be between 80-84 or even lower.
Sir dont you think the paper was too random, it is evident from the marks people are scoring from multiple keys.
Like a person preparing for prelims for 5 months had equal chance of getting in with the person who preapred for a month specifically for pre.
Had luck a greater role to play this year?
Yes it was off the mark even by UPSC's own unpredictable standards.
But the 1 month guy has no chance in this paper. He aint making it.
My whole concern is that the odd 25% seats for SC/ST is there. Will the commission be able to fill the 3000 seats from the category with such a paper ( CSAT included )
I think that you have raised a very important point Sir. The logical inference is that the csat cutoff for Category students should be adjusted accordingly. It makes ZERO sense to keep same cutoff for UR, OBC, SC, ST, Pwbd.
Mere csat me Insights se 64 aa rhe lekin Vision aur forum se 70 aa rhe hain. Kya chances hain clear karne ke? Vision forum aur insights me accurate key kaun si hai?Sab mai galtiyan h. Also in vision they have given two options for 2 answers, so how are you calculating?
One of question with 2 options as correct - I have marked a different option so that is wrong for me. For the other one, it may go either ways. I still have a buffer of 1 question. So even if that answer is wrong for me I will fall back to 67.66 something. It's a very precarious situation but can't really do anything.
Regarding the accelerometer question:
1) Theoretically, A gyroscope is sufficient to cause the rotation of the screen of our phones. A gyroscope measures angular velocity.
2) But, with just a gyroscope, we cannot determine how quickly do we need to switch the screen. We also need to measure acceleration for that. To have that flawless rotation of our screen, we need both a gyro and an accelerometer.
3) Most embedded processors have both gyro+accelerometer working together, like gone are the days when we used to use gyro alone. All of our smartphones in today times, come with both gyro+accelerometer together.
So, for us to perfectly make the screen rotate on our smart phones, we need both gyro+accelerometer. So, the answer will be "All three".
The question is very contentious but going by logic Only, one statement is very different than the other 2 statements. To genuinely mark all 3, one would require specialized knowledge, in UPSCs terms.

logic wale hi marenge sare
those who marked s/tech all true probably fared better lol
Nah. I think UPSC has reversed the trend since 2020 when all of the above was not the correct option in science and tech application based questions. I am pretty sure for HFC, Mercury and this one, not all statements are correct.
what do u guys says
getting 69.2 in CSAT from Insights, vision, forum(similiar Q wrong no fluctuation)
didnt mark any controversial Q which involve more than one ans
just for validation , quite anxious since last week
Mera bata do bhai.. Getting 70 from Forum and Vision and 64 from Insights.. Kya chances hain?
Bas yahi bolna chathaa hun ki mai wahi tha jo 2021 ke Pre mei Indus River System wale question par option D satluj bol raha tha...par baaki sab mujhe DM mei nayi nayi cheez bata rahe theay.
Natural justice is a british Concept while Fairness and DPOL is American. Also one thing i have learnt in this Upsc journey is that if you cant find your option directly linked to your question on Google, you cant say that its right.
if you simply google, you will find that Fairness word is associated too many times with Dopl. Show me a link where it is associated with Natural justice.
Yeah jin bhaisahab ney screenshot dala haina MANEKA gandhi wala, usme zara Fairness word bhi check karlein...kitni baar diya hua hai...
Have ticked Natural Justice
counting it as wrong as per insights
but
Fairness is fine but it says fair application of law
I asked myself the same q in exam that what if the law is unfair?
wasn't that what the issue was in Menaka Gandhi case?
That the law has to be fair
And what is the vision ans key on this one?
I used the logic that - Natural justice principles has 2 components - fair trial and no one can be a judge in his own cause. If Due process means Natural justice principles then before Maneka Gandhi judgement, it is implied that these principles were not being followed in India. But we know that's not the case. So it can't be that. This is what I used in exam to arrive at the answer. Ab galat ho jaega to atleast I tried.

I don't think HFC here means Hydro Fluorocarbon.
In the same document "Intangible Assets 7. Enterprises frequently expend resources, or incur liabilities, on the acquisition, development, maintenance or enhancement of intangible resources such as scientific or technical knowledge, design and implementation of new processes or systems, licences, intellectual property, market knowledge and trademarks (including brand names and publishing titles). Common examples of items encompassed by these broad headings are computer software, patents, copyrights, motion picture films, customer lists, mortgage servicing rights, fishing licences, import quotas, franchises, customer or supplier relationships, customer loyalty, market share and marketing rights. Goodwill is another example of an item of intangible nature which either arises on acquisition or is internally generated."
https://www.mca.gov.in/Ministry/notification/pdf/AS_26.pdf
Also what you are referring to might be for internally generated customer lists.
I think he is correct. Because the option was mailing list of clients, which is an internally generated customer list I guess.
zara socho.....
If the cutoff of SC ST category is falling too low........and UPSC decides ki UR me hum 1:12 le lenge.... par SC me 1:10....ye tho discrimination ho gaya na.....
Decisions like this get stuck in legitimate legal troubles...No?If the ratio is constant.....last year se zyada log pre qualify honi chahiye.......If they decrease the ratio overall .., then the gap between UR and SC cutoffs will be the same.
My point is simple...Ye 'insider sources' are doing bullshit using all the frenzy of aspirants. Attention tumhara......revenue unka.
Ratio can not be same for UR and category candidates because the cutoff is same for all category students in CSAT.
I’ve experienced it last year. Was getting 109 according to various keys(marking doubtful as wrong) , actual marks was 95. Year before, 92 something according to market, but was 84.xx Last two year significant divergence between institutes and official key
I think Science and tech questions play a major role in this. Marking all correct and getting it validated by coaching keys too inflate our score. Since 2020 not all statements are correct in Science and tech questions.
Because I have ended up with more marks in 2021 as compared to Forum key. Forum key - 100 , actual score - 116. And 3 questions were science and tech ones that went in my favor which were wrong according to coaching keys.
@Murali bhai itni tagdi prediction pe toh complain honi chahiye...Sala paper kaise pta lag rha hai logo ko upsc ka?
These are general predictions, Serious candidates knew it already.
Data sufficiency is too precise to be general.
Okayy.. This is downright outrageous.. Pinpointing and knowing the exact marks of a particular person is not possible most probably.. The system is not that leaky.. Yeah.. people can know abt general trends bt not specific person pointed information.Haan.. there are some downs to the system. But not this much..
