Just out of curiosity, how many of our friends use the Mains stream Social Media like Twitter , Facebook etc.
Not putting the UPSC wala platforms such as TG etc.
@AyeRamadhir Could you throw some light on reddit, i fould never figure out how to use the platform.
I avoided using Reddit for the longest time given it's weird UI. I gave it a shot last year when I was filtering the apps on my phone. Having used it extensively, I think it is imperative that one follows the right sub-reddits in order to find content, trivia, facts and memes (!). What you see on Reddit today is what you see on Twitter tomorrow and then on Facebook/Instagram a month later. Not kidding!
Say that you have a keyword in your mind such as 'Aviation'. Now, there is bound to be a sub-reddit on it titled r/aviation and the kind of content you'll see there will be matched by none. Reddit is a vast platform and given it's self moderated, it ensures the garbage stays away. Reddit is the front page of the internet, in every sense, and there are no two thoughts about it.
@AyeRamadhir Thats nicee. So basically you follow the subreddits of your interests. But how do you find some good subreddits? As in explore like a feed page?
If you haven't gotten into reddit then better to just stay away till prep phase. While there are many useful subreddits, the endless scrolling n the addiction might not be worth it. It is very easy to shift your focus from the good subs to "gossipy" ones. So better to stay away for now. This is based on my experience. some have good self control so it works well for them.
