Why Civil services?

So Forumites why would you like to join bureaucracy? What is your motivation behind it?

I wanted to join civil services because if a person like me does not join the government, it would be a huge huge huge loss to the State.

Many companies rejected me!
Hoped the other way around!

Finally landed in cse to escape the limelight!
Will hide here for sometime and will landup sometime later by opening a chai dhukaan/ momos in orn

So i was scrolling through discussion of SFG while being serious. All of sudden this question came up and i was lost in thought, existential crisis came up being in 12 by 12 cold winter room of Delhi 😅

I have also been looking for a good answer to this question. As I finish up my first semester of masters, I question if I should settle down with a private sector job and hustle it out in corporate.

Or if I should hustle it out in CSE, honestly I have been feeling like I am not cut out for this exam ever since I have been on break for past 5 months doing PG. I maybe do not have the aptitude for the hardwork & sweat CSE requires.
