Civil Services Mains 2020 Results: In or Out ? Way ahead, gratitude and Pain
The Civils Mains result has been declared. This thread is for sharing your grief , joy , mixed feelings - absolutely anything and everything.
Surreal how everything is repeating itself, hopefully the failures don't join that cycle too.I know right? Its like when in Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry and Hermione go back in time, and try to rectify everything. :P Feeling the pressure to do everything right this time around.

Hey all !! Want some genuine advice !
I am graduating this year 2021(exams in june-july) . I was preparing for 2021 prelims as my first attempt with final year . But preparation was very haphazard , I read many things but no revision or tests etc were planned.
Did GS coaching in 2019 in my second year ( went to class wrote dictation and came back to PG and never revised , yes in Vajiram 👼🏻)
Did optional class in 2020( made notes , done with value addition but wrote zero test and also RATIFICATION is not done , only note making for every topic and understanding is done)
Mains GS ( no essay written, no ethics answer written, no GS test written , But As I read in coaching —- I am aware of —- okay social issue me esa kuch hai , ok IR me esa sab hai —- ethics me yeh hai etc but again no ratification or learning of topics is done ! )
Hence if you give me a question on mains GS or optional Right now, I won’t be able to write or recall anything( without revising )
Prelims ( read standard books 2-3 times and attempted few sectional tests, scored average and found that I was guessing unknown Qs (tukka) right but making mistakes in basic due to lack of revision)
SO WITH THIS LEVEL OF PREP. Should I prepare for 2021 or give a well prepared attempt in 2022 !!🙏🏻🙏🏻 HELP AND SORRY LAMBA LIKHA

@DramaticAdmiral I think we will have some certainty by the 2nd week of May. Most probably the guys are waiting for the situation to normalize a bit before coming out with any plans.Got the announcement timing right too!!!

Mains to be after 15th Jan and wrapped up before 26th.
Please throw a light on way ahead for preparation, given the prelims has been postponed to 10 October.
In my case , I do have many GS MGP tests and essay tests pending to be attempted. Also some portions of Paper 1 of Optionals. And my Prelims preparation is average ( meaning to say scores still hover slightly below 50 % of the total marks). Definitely , I don't find it good to say that I'm under prepared in prelims and mains preparation as well. But fact is whatever I have done is still not sufficient.
So please guide us on what to do and what not to do in these 5 months before Prelims.

Give 2021 attempt. Now you have 5 extra months too. You have read enough and with the proper revision, you will be up and ready for prelims.
I think until and unless you won't give yourself a deadline, i.e. appearing on 10th oct, you may slack off again and be underprepared for 2022 attempt.
